Environment Day Celebrations
Nagpur, June 7 World Environment Day was celebrated in New Era School with great fanfare on June 5. The main purpose of the celebration was to spread awareness about the need to protect the environment and the ways to do it.
The day was flagged off by a tree plantation drive in the locality. 300 quick-growing trees, which do not need much water on a daily basis, were planted near the school wall and in the surrounding area. An eminent environmentalist, Mr. A.T. All spoke on the ways to protect the environment. He also judged the Posters and Photographs' exhibition and gave away prizes for the best entries Environmentally-friendly articles like disposable plates and cups made from bamboo and banana stem, bags made from leaf waste, etc. were on sale. Students gave continuous powerpoint presentations on the threats to the environment. Last but not the least, was the spirited debate on the topic Man: The worst enemy of the Environment'.
All in all the day was a great success, and has certainly made a difference to the way we view our environment

Last Sunday on 5th June 2022, our school organized a program to celebrate World Environment Day. The principal and vice-principal along with all the faculty members and students participated in the program with full energy.
The aim behind organizing this program was to give awareness to people about keeping the environment clean and safe from pollution. For this purpose, plant more trees to purify the air and make the earth green. The program started at 8 am. The sports department gave a sapling to each student and asked them to plant it around the campus.
This was an amazing and interesting activity. All the students started planting and the teachers guided them in this regard. Some students cleaned the campus. The gardener surveyed the entire campus and made sure that planting is done appropriately. After this, the students were directed to reach the auditorium where the principal gave a speech in which he encouraged students to participate in these activities.
He also added that we should also motivate others to keep their environment clean free of pollution so that we can live a healthy life. It was the pleasurable activity we enjoyed most and promised with our principal to plant more trees in our surroundings.

On Sunday 4th August 2022, our college celebrated an event. It was world environment day. As the head of the environment club, I had many responsibilities like preparing of schedule, making a list, and giving guidance to all the students regarding this activity. One of my friends assisted me and make my work easy and fluent. We made a list of students and trees that were being planted. We also arranged a schedule for the program. After this, we submitted the list of plants with their names and the schedule of the coming event to the principal. He approved the list and permitted us to organize the program.
Then the day came when we had to perform the activity. The chief guest was also invited there. All the students were well dressed and wearing school uniforms. My duty was to host the event.
At 9 O’clock, we took all the students to the ground. The program started after the inauguration by the chief guest. Each student was asked to plant at least two trees around the ground. All the students started planting with full excitement. During the activity, we also guided them and made the procedure completed.
After the activity was over, the chief guest and the principal expressed their thoughts regarding the environment day. He told the students how can they make the environment beautiful and clean. In the end, there was a refreshment for all the people by the principal. We enjoyed it and made a lot of fun.

On the 5th of June 2021, DAV Jalandhar organised Environment Day celebrations. The main aim of the event was to increase awareness among students about the importance of the environment and the need to protect it. Students were asked to prepare projects, make models or decorate the class with Environment Day as the theme. A small cultural event was organised by the students on the occasion of Environment Day. The Principal of the school gave a speech on what role the environment plays and why it is important for people to take initiatives to save the environment. Then, as a special drive for Environment Day, the Principal announced that students would be planting fifty different trees in the school park. A sit and draw competition was organised, and students were asked to draw anything related to the environment. The first three winners were given certificates and prizes. The District Magistrate was invited as the chief guest of this event. He delivered a speech on how important it is for the future generations to take care of the environment and preserve it. The events of the day came to an end with the Principal and the District Magistrate giving away prizes to the winners of the sit and draw competition. The projects and models made by the senior students were kept in the Art Gallery of the school for the rest of the students and teachers of the school to see while they visit it.
Delhi Public School, Bhubaneswar organised Environment Day celebrations on June 5, 2021. The Principal and Vice Principal of the school, along with the other faculty members, participated in the program in full spirit.
The aim behind organising the Environment Day was to create awareness among people about the importance of keeping the environment clean as well as saving it. And for this purpose, the school administration had decided to conduct a “Plant 100 trees” drive. Mr. Akhil Agnihotri, the District Magistrate, was invited as the chief guest for the event. He, along with the Principal of the school, planted five trees in the school premises. The students of classes 11 and 12 were given one tree each to plant in the school garden. The students of classes 11 and 12, along with the respective teachers, planted various trees including Sal, Mahogany and Eucalyptus in the school garden.
Students of the junior classes were asked to make posters, banners and pamphlets on the theme of Environment Day. All the students participated in the program with much enthusiasm. The Principal also announced that the three best posters would be selected and kept in the School Board for the year, and the students would be given prizes and certificates for the same. After the trees were planted, the District Magistrate gave a speech on how our environment helps us in our daily life, and why we should all work together to protect the environment. He also shared alarming facts about the changes that might happen in the future due to degradation of the environment. Finally, after the speech, as promised by the Principal, the three best poster makers were given prizes and certificates by the District Magistrate. The Principal thanked everyone for their presence and concluded the day’s programme.

On this Sunday 5th, June 20XX, our school organized an awareness program on the occasion of World Environment Day. All the students and faculty members have participated with full energy in this program. Our Principal and Vice-Principal, Sir were also present at the program. The objective of this program is to spread awareness among people about saving our environment from various types of pollution and to plant more and more trees to make our mother earth full of greenery. Our program started with prayer at 8:30 am. All the students were given one sapling by the school sports department, which was to be planted all around the campus. There were also some groups of students who were also engaged in cleaning the school campus. The gardener of our school used to roam the entire campus and was also making sure that all the students did the planting properly or not. In the auditorium, the principal sir of our school gave a very good and well-researched speech about how the condition of our environment today and why we need to be aware. He also tells us what steps we should take immediately so that we can make our environment healthy. In the end, he took a promise to all the students that no one will pollute the environment and will not allow anyone to do so.

The World Environment Day on 5 th June 2023 was celebrated in a meaningful way by the Department of Environmental Studies by adopting the theme for 2023 # BeatPlasticPollution. It is imperative that we safeguard the health of our planet at this critical juncture and understand the importance of keeping our planet clean.
Hence , to encourage awareness and action to protect our environment, an innovative concept was adopted by the department to bring in awareness among all the students from all the streams by administering oaths in their respective classes.

Also , as part of World Environment Day , planting of saplings was carried on in the college premises. The saplings for the programme were bought from the Forest Department Unit at Paduvarahali, Vinayakanagara, Mysore – 57006. Various flowering plants like Tabebuia rosea, Tabebuia pallida, Magnolia champaca , Syzygium cumini Millingtonia hortensis , were provided by the forest department.

The World environment day was celebrated at our ABC high school yesterday. It was organised in our school playground. So the school building was decorated beautifully.
The program began at 10:00 a.m. with an opening song sung by the students. Then our headmaster in his speech explained the importance of observing the World Environment Day. The headmaster of the school presided over the function and the local B.D.O. was invited as chief guest.
A cultural program was held which consisted of songs, recitations, dramas, speeches to make the spectators understand about destruction of nature. A discussion was held in which all students, teachers, and others present participated in it. The topic of discussion was on the causes of environmental pollution which are affecting our atmosphere. The effect of global warming and the role of green house gases were also discussed. In this discussion, some suggestions are taken to prevent or control it.
Some eminent people of the locality attended the ceremony. It was a lively discussion in which the audience was highly motivated. Then the chief guest delivered a nice and brief speech on the importance of planting more trees in our troubled world. The celebration ended with distribution of saplings among the students which they were asked to plant in their house.

The world environment day is celebrated every year on 5th June to raise global awareness to take positive environmental action to protect nature and the planet earth. It is a day that reminds everyone on the planet to get involved in environment friendly activities.
The school level celebration of ‘world environment day’ was organised on June 10,2022 .The official function started by 9 am ,after the school assembly.Assistant parish priest Rev.Fr.Danny Antony OCD was the chief guest.Respected Principal Rev.Fr.Nixon Jose OCD presided over the function.Vice principal Mrs.Ramsy M .J and health club coordinators were also present.
Ms.Sriya Rose of class 7C welcomed the gathering.Assistant parish priest Rev.Fr.Danny Antony OCD inaugrated the ceremony by planting a tree. Father addressed the students, giving a beautiful environmental day message.
Following the inaugural ceremony,Ms.Maria Sony of class 12A enacted a beautiful one act play in environmental day theme.
An energy saving challenge named,’Flip the switch’ for the students of classes 3 to 12 was officially announced and inaugurated by the chief guest by awarding an LED lamp to a student chosen through lucky draw.
Antonio Siju, student of class 4A recited an environment day theme poem.School principal Rev.Fr.Nixon Jose OCD delivered presidential address.Father motivated students to participate in the energy saving challenge by making them aware of the need for using the resources wisely.
Students who made significant achievements in various Olympiads were awarded prizes.
After the prize distribution, students of various classes performed a flash mob conveying the message of ‘saving mother earth’.Mrs.Anila Gopinath, teacher representative delivered felicitation address.Saplings were distributed to the respective students,teachers and auxiliary staff who were chosen through lucky draw.Following the sapling distribution,Ms.Swathika Shilin of class 9 A entertained the gathering with a melodious song.With the vote of thanks of Antonio Dixon of class 7,the official ceremony came to an end by 10 am.

World Environment Day Celebration
The world environment day was celebrated on 5 June at Sunrise Academy, Guwahati. The aim behind organizing this program was to give awareness to people about keeping the environment clean and safe from pollution. At 8 am, the students of the school gathered at the school campus and planted trees. At 10 am meeting was presided over by the honourable principal and some distinguished persons of the locality were present. Social activist Mr XYZ gave a valuable speech on the global warming and importance to protect our environment. A on the spot art competition was also organised among the students. A short play was performed to entertain the guest. The celebration was a grand one as the students along with the local people became conscious about their role on the earth.

June 6, 2022: They say, ‘Time spent among trees is never time wasted ‘. And thus, going by this famous saying, our school and the entire Don Bosco School family came together on the afternoon of June 5, 2022, to celebrate ‘ The World Environment Day ‘. The Celebration took place in the form of an event at the School Playground, With all the students, the school Principal, Vice-Principals, Trustees, and Teachers along with the other staff members marking their presence for the event.
The function began with the Principal, Vice Principal and the other school authorities lighting up the Lamp, which was set up on the centre of the Playground with all the students circling up the entire playground around the Lamp, Teachers, and the Principal. Soon, the Official Photographer of the school asked all the Students and the other Staffs to stand in an orderly manner as he would click a few pictures of everyone on the field with the help of a ‘ Drone ‘. This was followed by a speech by the School Principal who highlighted the importance of Mother Nature and the lessons we can learn from her.
The Principal further enlightened the students with the idea of Harmony, Unity, Discipline, and Peace by which we can help our environment to flourish. The showstopping part came up when the Principal while concluding his speech announced the main motive of the gathering, which was to plant around 3000 saplings around the school campus and the Students and the entire school faculty was to participate together with solidarity.
This announcement resulted in a wave of excitement among the students and the teachers too. As the event folded up, there were 3040 saplings planted around the school campus with the School Trustee being the first among the others to plant a young. This event not only taught the students to work in Unity and discipline but also helped them, realize the importance of Environment and Tress which they would carry forward throughout their lives.
