In Precision’s continued efforts to bring the most technologically advanced and safest turbochargers to market, a compressor cover ballistic blanket will come standard with this product. Despite the name, the GEN2 Pro Mod 88 XPR is not only suited for Pro Mod style race cars, and users of this turbocharger will benefit from all of the gains forged in the heat of NHRA competition!

The Pro Mod range of turbos was used by Jose Gonzalez to set NHRA Pro Mod ET and MPH records, and is designed with a hardcore enthusiast in mind.

Purpose-built for improved strength, durability and longevity, the center housing and compressor backplate assembly is an innovative one-piece design, manufactured from an aluminum forging. Precision 88/98 vs Precision x275 88mm

Just like the title says... What do you guys think? Cast wheel 88/98 non clipped wheel version versus a new billet wheel x275 88mm turbo from Precision. Power potential on the same motor, which would make more power? Keep in mind you can change the compressor cover to a 98mm on the 88/98 and make a bit more power. Lets hear your thoughts.  

p/t new x 275 turbo is advertised at supporting 1400 h/p to the flywheel but its a little more then that closer to 1600 accodring to p/t. when i was quoted a h/p difference they said it would be 600 h/p less then my p/t 101  

x2 on how it compares to that large frame one. i no in the nmca d/r class you have to way more when using a large fram 88 then when you use the p/t x275 turbo which is a 85 mm

What about the Bullseye Comp R88 Billet large frame unit?  

Whats the GT44-88 good for?  

47 -88. 140-145mph depending on engine combo. 4.90's are possible with a great 60'. They seem to like engines under 300ci. The newer billet wheel versions from Precision will make more power than the cast wheel Garrett's.  

The billet wheel 88 has been 155 at 3400#. While I won't get into specifics, we can fairly easily make more power with a cast wheel 98 on a lesser motor. Hope this helps.  

Where does the promod 88 fit in this discussion? I know it's not a large frame but how will it stack up to the x275 turbo?  

If I remember right the pro mod 88 is rated by PTE at 1450 hp .

I haven't decided yet. I need to sit down and make a decision.  

when are all of us going to try to get a new deal going down here? We don't want to run on drag radials so the only option is Noble that isn't capped. Turbos get banned in OTT5 but the nitrous guys can run 149 mph and they are fine. Doesn't make since but I understand where Odie is coming from. It's his money so it's his rules. I guess we will do like you guys and do the grudge racing thing.  

How do you feel about an Xi trim able to go 186 out the back? Do you still think a promod 88 is enough to keep up? I've had both a 47-88 and the promod 88 and the promod only made about 50 more than 47-88. Stop listening to everything Jason Lee says because he is just playing the game because he has the ear of the rules committee.  

Any more on this? Now that its Nov?  

I know the promod 88 will make at least 110 rwhp over a gt47-88. Also there is some new stuff out for the 47-88 to make more power.

Most Beautiful Metro Stations in Moscow

Visiting Moscow? Get yourself a metro card and explore Moscow’s beautiful metro stations. Moscow’s world-famous metro system is efficient and a great way to get from A to B. But there is more to it; Soviet mosaic decorations, exuberant halls with chandeliers, colourful paintings and immense statues. Moscow’s metro is an attraction itself, so take half a day and dive into Moscow’s underground!

The best thing to do is to get on the brown circle (number 5) line since the most beautiful metro stations are situated on this line. The only exception is the metro stop Mayakovskaya one the green line (number 2). My suggestion is to get a map, mark these metro stops on there and hop on the metro. It helps to get an English > Russian map to better understand the names of the stops. At some of the metro stops, the microphone voice speaks Russian and English so it’s not difficult at all.

Another thing we found out, is that it’s worth taking the escalator and explore the other corridors to discover how beautiful the full station is.

Quick hotel suggestion for Moscow is the amazing Brick Design Hotel .

These are my favourite metro stations in Moscow, in order of my personal preference:

1. Mayakovskaya Station

The metro station of Mayakovskaya looks like a ballroom! Wide arches, huge domes with lamps and mosaic works make your exit of the metro overwhelming. Look up and you will see the many colourful mosaics with typical Soviet pictures. Mayakovskaya is my personal favourite and is the only stop not on the brown line but on the green line.

2. Komsomolskaya Station

Komsomolskaya metro station is famous for its yellow ceiling. An average museum is nothing compared to this stop. Splendour all over the place, black and gold, mosaic – again – and enormous chandeliers that made my lamp at home look like a toy.

3. Novoslobodskaya Station

The pillars in the main hall of Novoslobodskaya metro station have the most colourful stained glass decorations. The golden arches and the golden mosaic with a naked lady holding a baby in front of the Soviet hammer and sickle, make the drama complete.

4. Prospect Mira Station

The beautiful chandeliers and the lines in the ceiling, make Prospekt Mira an architectural masterpiece.

5. Belorusskaya Station

Prestigious arches, octagonal shapes of Socialistic Soviet Republic mosaics. The eyecatcher of Belorusskaya metro station, however, is the enormous statue of three men with long coats, holding guns and a flag.

6. Kiyevskaya Station

The metro station of Kiyevskaya is a bit more romantic than Belorusskaya and Prospect Mira. Beautiful paintings with classical decorations.

7. Taganskaya Station

At the main hall Taganskaya metro station you will find triangle light blue and white decorations that are an ode to various Russians that – I assume – are important for Russian history and victory. There is no need to explore others halls of Taganskaya, this is it.

8. Paveletskaya Station

Another and most definitely the less beautiful outrageous huge golden mosaic covers one of the walls of Paveletskaya. I would recommend taking the escalator to the exit upstairs to admire the turquoise dome and a painting of the St Basil’s Cathedral in a wooden frame.

Travelling with Moscow’s metro is inexpensive. You can have a lot of joy for just a few Rubbles.

It’s absolutely beautiful! Moscow is a great city trip destination and really surprised me in many ways.

My partner and I did a self guided Moscow Metro tour when we were there 2 years ago. So many breathtaking platforms…I highly recommend it! Most of my favorites were along the Brown 5 line, as well. I also loved Mayakovskaya, Arbatskaya, Aleksandrovski Sad and Ploshchad Revolyutsii. We’re heading back in a few weeks and plan to do Metro Tour-Part 2. We hope to see the #5 stations we missed before, as well as explore some of the Dark Blue #3 (Park Pobedy and Slavyansky Bul’var, for sure), Yellow #8 and Olive #10 platforms.

With a dedicated commitment to innovation, PTE's revolutionary GEN2 Pro Mod turbochargers were designed with the hardcore enthusiast in mind. Purpose-built for improved strength, durability and longevity, the center housing and compressor backplate assembly is an innovative one-piece design, manufactured from an aluminum forging. Additionally, these units come equipped with stainless steel turbine housings complete with an extended turbine discharge with cross-bolt provisions for added safety.  Safety was also a key consideration when developing the new designs, and all of Precision's GEN2 Pro Mod turbos are  SFI-approved  when used with our stainless steel V-band inlet/outlet housing.  PTE's GEN2 Pro Mod 88 CEA® Turbocharger features the following:   • SFI-approved  • Exclusive CEA® (Competition Engineered Aerodynamics) compressor wheel machined from a 2618-aluminum forging  • Higher efficiency and faster transient response for maximum power and performance  • 88mm inducer compressor wheel  • Exclusive CEA® (Competition Engineered Aerodynamics) 103mm turbine wheel  • Turbine housing options:    - T5 1.00, 1.12, 1.24, or 1.40 A/R    - Stainless steel V-band inlet 1.15 A/R     * NOTE: Additional cost may apply for certain housings.   • Extended turbine housing discharge with cross-bolt provisions  • Air-cooled, dual ceramic ball-bearing center housing rotating assembly (CHRA)  • One-piece CHRA and compressor backplate assembly to improve durability  Unlike anything else on the market today, Precision's GEN2 Pro Mod turbochargers are set to be a serious game-changer in the world of turbo technology.
