Sub: Integrated Report & Annual Accounts for Financial Year 2021-22

of Tata Steel Limited ('the Company')

This is in furtherance to our letter dated May 3, 2022 wherein we had informed that the 115 th Annual General Meeting (' AGM ') of the Company will be held on Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at 3.00 p.m. ( IST ).  

The AGM is being held via two-way Video Conference/Other Audio-Visual Means. This is in compliance with the General Circulars issued by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs dated April 8, 2020, April 13, 2020, May 5, 2020, January 13, 2021 and December 14, 2021.

Please find enclosed herewith the 7 th Integrated Report & 115 th Annual Accounts of Tata Steel Limited for the Financial Year 2021-22 along with the Notice of the 115 th AGM (' Integrated Report' ). Tata Steel gains 2% as Q4 India steel production grows 4.5%

According to the filing, in fy24, tata steel india achieved highest ever annual crude steel production of 20.8 mt, with a growth of 4 percent yoy..

In Q3FY24, Tata Steel reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 522.14 crore in the October-December quarter against a net loss of Rs 2,501.95 crore in Q3FY23.

Shares of Tata Steel gained 2 percent at open on April 8, after the company reported on April 5 that its Q4 India crude steel production grew at 4.5 percent YoY to 5.38 million tonnes (MT). At 9:20 am, the stock was trading at Rs 166.15.

Deliveries for the same year also increased by 5 percent YoY to 5.41 MT. According to the filing, in FY24, Tata Steel India achieved its highest ever annual crude steel production of 20.8 MT, with a growth rate of 4 percent YoY.

In Q3FY24, the company reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 522.14 crore in the October-December quarter against a net loss of Rs 2,501.95 crore in Q3FY23. Revenue from operations for the same period also fell three percent to Rs 55,311.9 crore compared to Rs 57,083.56 crore in the previous fiscal.

Tata Steel Q4 update: Company records highest annual crude steel production, domestic deliveries up 9% YoY

T ata Steel achieved its highest-ever annual crude steel production of 20.8 million tonnes, with a growth of 4 percent YoY, by debottlenecking across sites, the company said in a preliminary update on April 5.

In 4QFY24, crude steel production was broadly stable and stood at around 5.38 million tonnes.

Tata Steel India's deliveries increased by 6 percent YoY and surpassed the previous best recorded in FY2023.

Domestic deliveries grew by 9 percent YoY, leveraging the country's steel demand growth and an agile business model.

In 4QFY24, deliveries grew 11 percent QoQ and 5 percent YoY to 5.41 million tonnes and were the highest ever quarterly deliveries.

The Netherlands and UK 

Subsidiary Tata Steel Netherlands posted steel production of 4.80 million tonnes in FY24 while deliveries were at 5.30 million tonnes. For the quarter, production and deliveries improved on a QoQ basis primarily driven by a restart of BF6 upon completion of relining in early February, the company said in a regulatory filing.

Tata Steel UK's liquid steel production in FY24 stood at 3.02 million tonnes and deliveries were at 2.80 million tonnes. For the quarter, production was broadly stable on a QoQ basis while deliveries were up 8% to 0.69 million tonnes.

Other Key Highlights

Branded Products & Retail' segment deliveries increased by 11 percent YoY in FY24 at 6.5 million tonnes, surpassing the previous best recorded in FY23, primarily driven by record annual sales of the well-established retail brand Tata Tiscon, which crossed 2 million tonnes.

Tata Steel Aashiyana's revenues stood at Rs. 2,240 crore in FY24 and were up 30 percent YoY driven by the company's best-ever 3Q and 4Q sales. Aashiyana is the company's e-commerce platform for individual home builders.

Tata Steel posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 522.14 crore in the October-December quarter, from a net loss of Rs 2,501.95 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year, helped by a robust domestic demand offsetting weakness in Europe.

NEW DELHI (Reuters) – Tata Steel India recorded its highest annual crude steel production at 20.8 million metric tons in 2023/24, up 4% on year, according to provisional data released by the company.

Tata Steel’s production in Netherlands was 4.8 million metric tons during 2023/24, down 24% on year, and production in UK was 3.02 million metric tons, unchanged on the year, it said.
