Why Is Cashmere So Expensive?

Quince Review

Cashmere screams elegance. Or is that just us? Quality cashmere goes for crazy amounts in stores, and it always seems so ridiculous – why does the material need to cost so much?

There’s a lot that goes into the crafting of cashmere. It’s soft, light, and actually quite limited when it comes down to the top-tier stuff. Time alone drives up costs as farmers have to put in endless hours to comb out the wool for the softest raw materials prior to any manufacturing.

Add that care into the production process that includes weaving, dyeing, spinning , and then sewing? That’s more than worth the price tags put on these pieces.

The amount of work required to design each piece in addition to the lasting and durable quality of the material drives up the price.

How Do I Care For Cashmere?

Quince Review

Once it’s in the closet, remember to care for it! The worst thing to happen is letting it degrade when prime cashmere pieces can easily last a lifetime if properly treated. All it takes is a few quick tips and tricks to retain that soft feel:

  • Don’t machine wash – these pieces are best cleaned by hand as the material actually becomes quite delicate when it’s wet. So, wash by hand and let it air dry to keep the shape and quality at its best.
  • No harsh chemicals – we’re talking heavy detergents and especially fabric softeners. In this case, fabric softeners actually make cashmere harsher against the skin and can break down the material over time. Keep things simple with mild soap and warm water.
  • Limit the washing – rather than throwing it in the wash after one wear, just leave the cashmere to air out. Due to its light and airy nature, it can simply be left out to breathe and it’ll be fine for next day wear…or whenever you want to toss it on again.

Don’t go overboard with the washing. There are also several sprays that can be bought to maintain cashmere sweaters rather than washing constantly.

  • Care for the hair – comb your sweaters, blankets, etc. to maintain a soft touch. Just a gentle combing will keep things nice and smooth. Just remember to be gentle.

That’s all it really takes to get a longer lifespan out of any favored cashmere piece. Not too hard, right?

Quince Reviews: What Do Customers Think?

Quince Review

A solid Quince review is what we’re all here for, so we’re calling in backup and getting info from the buyers on just how this brand holds up. We’ll say off the top, this company seems to have some solid fans when it comes to their products.

Looking at Quince’s website, each product, while not always high in numbers, holds good ratings. One of their most popular pieces, the Mongolian Cashmere Crewneck Sweater , has 4.9/5 stars based on over 1,425 ratings. And that’s just one of their pieces.

While most of their products have far fewer ratings, the stars seem to settle around that area. What makes customers rate so highly? The feel and look of each product. Customers love the lightweight, breathable sweaters offered by this brand.

One five-star Quince review stated, “ Lightweight but super easy to wear and not feel overwhelmed by heavy clothing. The green color is soft and will transition to 3 seasons well. Slow mailing issues with their carrier and apologies but would suggest a different process. However, I will buy more. It’s that good! ”

While shipping isn’t always great, the prices definitely keep customers coming back. For quality cashmere, the prices are incredibly low compared to others on the market.

One customer posted, “ Was skeptical of the price point and thought it was too good to be true. Happy to say that it lives up to the promises! I’ve bought a few of these sweaters as gifts and can’t wait till the temps drop and I can wear mine more consistently. Might have to get myself a few more colors… ”

Other top-rated products from the brand are as follows:

  • 100% Washable Silk Tank & Pants Pajama Set: 4.8/5 stars based on over 55 ratings
  • 100% Washable Silk Tank & Shorts Pajama Set: 4.8/5 stars based on over 95 ratings
  • Mongolian Cashmere V-Neck Sweater: 4.9/5 stars based on over 125 ratings
  • Italian Leather Crossbody Bag: 4.8/5 stars based on over 400 ratings
  • Organic Comfort Stretch Chore Jacket: 4.7/5 stars based on 20 ratings
  • Organic Luxe Waffle Duvet Cover: 4.9/5 stars based on over 60 ratings

Quince Review

It’s not just the company site that rates this business well. The Better Business Bureau gave Quince a B- for few complaints in the lifetime of the business. While TrustPilot and SiteJabber don’t offer much in terms of reviews, this brand is huge on social media.

Facebook has Quince at 3.5/5 stars based on 19 ratings. Not huge in terms of the number of reviews, but the comments praise the products for their top-tier quality material.

One customer commented, “ Beautiful merchandise! The feel of both the silk and cashmere is unbelievable . I have purchased 2 sweaters and a silk blouse to wear under the V neck sweater. I couldn’t be happier. Unless I could afford to buy one in every color. Only that would make it perfect! So, one a month… ”

Other Facebook comments note fast shipping and decent prices for not only their clothing but also leather goods. Reddit follows the social media trend with numerous individuals stating how pleased they’ve been with their purchases.

On a thread to determine whether Quince was worth the purchase, one Redditor responded enthusiastically:

“ The cashmere is fantastic ! I have a couple sweaters and again, a great deal. Can’t beat the price. I have a lot of cashmere items, in general, and these seem to be of a really decent quality. I’ve been impressed. Hope you find some items you like. They do have reward points so you can accumulate points to go towards a future purchase. ”

One more unique reply to the inquiry went on regarding their jewelry options. Commenting, “ I wholeheartedly love their jewelry! Most of their pieces are solid gold, which is the best quality you can get , and they’re definitely way cheaper than say brands like mejuri. Even sometimes vermeil jewelry is more expensive than Quince’s! ”

Despite lower numbers of customers making up the ratings, comments found online praise this brand for their products, services, and easy returns. Great prices, good quality, and a variety of options keep customers coming back time and time again to add to their Quince collection.

Is Quince Worth It?

Quince Review

So, what is this Quince review’s final recommendation? In this case, we’re happy to say that this brand is more than worth it . From the numerous comments about the look and feel in addition to the reasonable costs, the company seems to know how and what to sell to leave customers satisfied.

Well-reviewed service, easy returns, and mixed reviews on shipping, this brand seems pretty solid overall. We’d say this one is worth taking a chance on.

Where to Buy Quince

Quince Review

We’ve searched high and low, but it seems the only guaranteed place to buy quality Quince material is from their website, onequince.com .

Quince Review

Is Quince sustainable?

This Quince review is happy to note that the company functions as sustainably as they possibly can.

From organic materials and responsible production to moving toward 100% compostable packaging, this business is dedicated to affecting the planet as minimally as possible through operations.

How long does cashmere typically last?

This seems like a trick question because the fact is, if cared for properly, cashmere can last a lifetime . High-quality cashmere is durably crafted to keep those soft, lightweight, and breathable qualities for years on end.

So long as it’s cared for, good cashmere can keep going after decades of use.

Does Quince ship internationally?

Unfortunately, Quince doesn’t ship internationally . They are looking to expand in that avenue, so keep an eye out for any shipping updates.

What is Quince’s Shipping Policy?

Has this Quince review shown off something that intrigued you? Luckily, it’s easy to make an order with free standard shipping for all customers.

Standard shipping only takes 5 to 7 business days before making packages make that appearance on the front step.

For faster times, check out the expedited shipping option . Costs are dependent on items, weight, and location of pieces, so be sure to look into those calculated prices before buying.

All shipped items are available for tracking . A link will be sent to the attached email address and anyone with an account can also log on to find out where in the world their order is.

Free shipping, fast times, and tracking? Not too shabby.

What is Quince’s Return Policy?

This brand really helps customers out with a 365 day from the delivery date return policy . That’s right, a whole year to return purchased items for a full refund.

Returns are an easy process. All they take is a few simple steps:

  • Create an account with the connected email address
  • Head over to the Return or Replace Items section and select the item(s) to return
  • Fill out the information and repackage the items in their original packaging
  • Attach the return label (downloaded from email or online account)
  • Send it out

All items aside from promotional products and made-to-order pieces can be returned for a full refund. Promo products can’t be sent back, but made-to-order items can be returned for a $35 restocking fee .

For those looking to exchange items, Quince recommends just submitting a return and making a new order for faster service. Official returns can be done, and customer service will be happy to assist, but the fastest option comes from a new order.

My HONEST Quince Review: What I Liked & What to Avoid [2024]

The author of this Quince Clothing Review, a young woman wearing black pants and a dark blue jacket, stands in a rainy, hilly, green countryside landscape beneath an overcast sky.

Last updated: December 19th, 2023

TL;DR : Quince first caught my attention with its quality clothing at affordable prices. I learned that, while I found the clothes comfortable and stylish, the quality fell short a few times. These are the key takeaways from my Quince review:

  • The first two words that come to mind when I think about Quince clothing pieces are: soft & thin.
  • The quality of Quince items reflects the price you pay for them.
  • Pieces are versatile, and you can dress them up or down.
  • Quince’s sizing guide is mostly spot-on.
  • Quince is on the path to comprehensive sustainable practices.

Quince has made a name for itself by offering luxury-inspired pieces at a fraction of the price. But is the quality there or is it too good to be true?

As an avid traveler, I took it upon myself to truly test out Quince. I wore multiple outfits during a 3-week trip abroad to assess comfort, versatility, and durability.

Like many mid-to-lower-cost fashion brands, Quince offers clothing that often mimics higher-end brands.

This is why I especially wanted to test pieces that were replicas from higher-end brands like the Quince Neoprene Backpack [similar to the Dagne Dover Dakota Backpack ] and the Lightweight Down Puffer Jacket [Similar to the Patagonia Nano Puff ]. I was curious to see how the Quince versions would compare.

Overall, I tested 10 pieces of clothing along with a popular Quince backpack. Traveling with these items meant I could wear them quite a few times within a relatively short time. I quickly got a feel for what worked and what didn’t.

If you’ve been eyeing Quince yourself, stick around for my detailed and honest Quince review. I’ll cut through the hype and share which exact items passed my quality test with flying colors–and which ones fell short.

My favorite Quince dress Tencel Jersey Fit & Flare Dress – Comfortable, lightweight, and versatile.

Quality The quality matches the price, and there’s a 365-day return policy if something doesn’t work out.

Website https://www.quince.com/

  • Quince offers very trendy, yet timeless pieces.
  • Very affordable.
  • They use silky, smooth fabrics that are super soft and comfortable.
  • Quince’s sizing guide was helpful and mostly accurate.
  • Quince claims that 70% of products are made of recycled materials and they have safe, equitable factories.
  • Quality control is inconsistent.
  • Only sizes small to extra large are available.
  • Questionable durability.
  • They lack certifications to prove their sustainability efforts.

Note: Quince sent me these items (chosen by me) to test out for this article but all opinions are my own. This article also contains affiliate links, which help run this site at no extra cost to you so I can keep providing free advice and tips.

What is Quince?

A close-up of a grey tank top on a clothing hanger, with a printed label reading

Quince describes itself as a brand that offers high-quality essentials at an affordable price.

As I mentioned above, I was initially intrigued by the Quince brand because of their low prices and style of clothing. Their pieces reminded me of other, more expensive brands, but with the promise of fairer prices.

Quince boasts that they use high-quality materials like organic linen, organic cotton, Italian leather, alpaca wool, and more. I also heard good things about their silk and merino wool products.

In addition to these materials, Quince uses eco-friendly dyes whenever possible.

Aside from clothing, Quince sells all kinds of items in categories such as Home, Baby & Kids, and Luggage. Their website offers plenty of variety, from leather goods like leather jackets to home goods like sheet sets.

Quince also claims that they have made-to-order items, which makes it seem like they’re more focused on sustainability than fast fashion.

However, other than mentioning made-to-order items on their shipping page, I haven’t seen any direct examples of truly made-to-order items on their website.

Quince Review: My Experience With Quince’s Clothing

An older man in a sea-green shirt stands next to a young woman in black pants and a black jacket on a cliff overlooking a turquoise ocean, with an arch-shaped coastal rock formation.

The 10 pieces of clothing I tested were a mix of tops, bottoms, and dresses. I also tried one of their accessories–a backpack.

Aside from a quirk or two, I’d say most pieces worked out great as everyday clothing.

However, not all of them were ideal for travel–mainly due to easy-to-wrinkle material and restrictive washing instructions (like needing to put them in the hand/gentle wash or letting them air dry).

Multiple pieces fell in the middle, but there were outliers. In this mix were pieces like the Merino wool sweater (which was more or less a loss) versus the jersey fit & flare dress (which is my latest go-to piece in my closet).

It’s difficult to pin down my experience with Quince into a simple yay or nay. I invite you to read through my experience with each piece to better understand what may work for you.

Tencel Jersey Fit & Flare Dress

A young woman wearing a brown Tencel Jersey Fit & Flare Dress stands facing the camera with her hands in her pockets in an interior setting with a map of California on the wall behind her.

One of my new favorite dresses–the Jersey Fit & Flare Dress! This one has a nice bounce to it, is super comfortable and stylish, and fits well.

I tested out the Tencel Jersey Fit & Flare Dress in brown, size small.

Rating : 10/10

When it comes to Quince dresses, I absolutely love the Jersey Fit & Flare Dress. The jersey material makes the dress very comfortable while still being lightweight.

The tank top style lets you wear the dress with a regular-style bra. I also like the length, which is versatile for several different occasions.

The great thing about this dress is that you can dress it up or down; it works for going out with friends or touring a city while traveling.

Plus, it has pockets! Anyone familiar with wearing dresses knows that having pockets is a reason to rejoice.

Lastly, this dress washed well without issues (unlike some of the other Quince pieces I tried).

Tencel Rib Knit Sleeveless Dress

A young woman wearing a grey Tencel Rib Knit Sleeveless Dress stands looking down in an interior setting with a map of California on the wall behind her.

You can see how the lining doesn’t match up on the side in the right-hand photo. I wasn’t a fan of the lining moving around so much and hardly ever being lined up where I wanted it to be.

I tested out the Tencel Rib Knit Sleeveless Dress in dark olive, size small.

Rating : 4/10

I love the color and ultra-soft fabric of this Tencel Rib Knit Sleeveless Dress. But while it’s incredibly soft, it’s also a bit thin.

While wearing this dress, I noticed the lining bunching easily.

After examining why this might be, I found the inner lining wasn’t closely sewn into the rest of the fabric, meaning the layers separated easily and bunched up. Because of this, I didn’t end up wearing it much.

This dress is one of a few examples of quality control issues with some of my Quince pieces.

Cotton Fisherman Crew Sweater

A young woman wearing a white sweater and a blue plaid skirt stands smiles at the camera in front of a hardwood interior.

Although the first sweater I received had a hole in it, once I got it replaced, I generally liked wearing this sweater. It’s not anything to write home about–the design is a little on the boxy side and it’s not that cozy–but it’s a nice basic to have in my closet.

I tested out the Cotton Fisherman Crew Sweater in ivory, size small.

Rating : 6/10

I didn’t have a great first impression of the Cotton Fisherman Crew Sweater because it arrived with a small hole in the front. After an e-mail to customer service, a replacement quickly arrived in the mail.

Still, I find the quality falls a bit short. As far as cotton sweaters go, I don’t find this one particularly breathable.

I’m always down for a sweater with a relaxed fit, but this particular choice has a roomier fit than expected, which makes it a bit too boxy for my liking.

I still wear it somewhat often, but I wouldn’t say it’s a favorite sweater.

Ultra-Soft High-Rise Legging – 28″ Inseam

A young woman wearing grey Ultra-Soft High-Rise Leggings and a yellow shirt stands facing the camera, lifting her shirt to touch her waistband in an interior setting with a map of California on the wall behind her.

These leggings are on the thinner side but their silky soft material made them an immediate favorite for long travel days .

I tested out the Ultra-Soft High-Rise Legging in heather charcoal, size small.

Rating: 8/10

These Ultra-Soft High-Rise Leggings are true to their name–they’re cloud-like soft, and fit well.

I brought them on my recent UK trip, and they made excellent travel day pants. I especially loved wearing them on the long flight to and from the UK because of how cozy they are.

The only downside to these leggings is that they’re a little thin. Ultimately, the thinness isn’t too bad (they weren’t see-through or anything), and I definitely plan to wear these more.

Ultra-Stretch Ponte Straight Leg Pant – Tall

A young woman in black pants and a white tank top stands in front of the Tower of London on a sunny day.

I wore my Ponte Pants most days of my UK trip since they were so comfortable and versatile. I just wish I had gone with my usual pant size (medium) instead of going off the sizing chart for this one.

I tested out the Ultra-Stretch Ponte Straight Leg Pant in navy, size small (and tall).

Rating: 7/10

The Ultra-Stretch Ponte Straight Leg Pant is an excellent choice for everyday wear while traveling. They’re versatile enough to work well as a pair of work pants, too.

I like that these have an almost legging-like feel without the legging look.

In terms of fit, the pants are a bit tighter than I usually like. But that was my bad for ordering a size small instead of medium (my usual pant size).

I ordered a small because I was going off the size measurements on their site and thought they’d be pretty stretchy. They aren’t thaat stretchy, though, and they’d be a more comfortable fit overall if I had sized up.

These pants have two main cons to note.

First, no pockets. While that does add to the sleek, form-fitting look, I always love pockets for functionality.

The second con comes with quality control. I’ve noticed after a few wears now that the stitching is beginning to come apart slightly on the sides. There are no holes yet, but it makes me think these pants might not last that long.

Australian Merino Wool V-Neck Sweater

A young woman in black pants and a black jacket stands on a cliff overlooking a turquoise ocean, with an arch-shaped coastal rock formation.

I ended up wearing this sweater a lot on my trip because it was the only one I brought, but I just thought it was okay. It was stylish and did its job of keeping me warm but it was a little too scratchy for my taste.

I tried the discontinued Australian Merino Wool Sweater in black, size small. This is now the closest  option .

Wearing this Australian Merino Wool V-Neck Sweater was fine–until it needed a wash.

This piece completely shrunk after a wash on the gentle cycle. That may be on me for not researching the proper washing technique (spoiler alert: hand wash only).

But when I say this sweater shrunk, it shrunk . It’s at the point where it’d probably only fit a child. Wearing it is out of the question now…

Maybe that’s okay, though, since I found the wool to be a bit scratchy and not as soft other wool sweaters I own.

Lightweight Down Puffer Jacket

A young woman in a black Lightweight Down Puffer Jacket stands on the deck of a boat in front of the London Bridge on a overcast day.

Another piece that I wore almost every day for three weeks, this one was a decent knock-off of the Patagonia Nano Puff, but was hard to wash and didn’t always keep me quite as warm as I wanted.

I tested out this Lightweight Down Puffer Jacket in black, size small.

I chose to try this Lightweight Down Puffer Jacket because it’s a similar style to the Patagonia Nano Puff . While the jacket looks similar from afar, there’s a noticeable difference in warmth.

I wasn’t always quite warm enough in this on chilly nights in the UK. With that said, the jacket has worked great for day-to-day wear since I arrived back in warmer California.

The true disappointment I faced with this jacket came after washing it on a gentle cycle. There was a noticeable decrease in puffiness, and the interior feathers began coming out.

This could be a mistake on my end for not hand washing, but it also concerns me when considering quality control.

Mongolian Cashmere Tee

A young woman wearing black pants and a yellow Mongolian Cashmere Tee poses next to a sign reading

I love the color and softness of this shirt and I’ve worn it a bunch now. The only downside is how thin it is, but that also means it’s a nice lightweight basic.

I tested out this Mongolian Cashmere Tee in spicy mustard, size small.

Rating: 9/10

I love this Mongolian Cashmere Tee!

The cashmere is buttery, soft, and very lightweight. The only downside is that it’s a bit thin, meaning more see-through than I prefer. Choosing one of the darker colors may help this issue since I chose a pretty light color.

Then again, sometimes it’s nice to have cashmere t-shirts on the thin side because the material is so warm by nature.

Still, the fit is great, and I love my chosen mustard color.

Stretch Silk Short Sleeve Notch Collar Blouse

A young woman wearing a white Stretch Silk Short Sleeve Notch Collar Blouse stands, not smiling, in an interior setting with a map of California on the wall behind her.

I wanted to like this silk shirt more, but it wrinkles SO easily. You basically have to iron or steam it every time you want to wear it again, which is a bit too much maintenance for me.

I tested out this Stretch Silk Short Sleeve Notch Collar Blouse in ivory, size small.

Rating: 6/10

I was drawn to this Stretch Silk Short Sleeve Notch Collar Blouse because I loved the sound of a washable silk blouse.

While I enjoy wearing this shirt since it’s a different style and cut than I normally wear, it falls short in several ways.

First off, it’s very thin and, therefore, see-through. This may not be as big of an issue with the different color options like black and navy. But with the white option, I always have to wear it with an undershirt.

Additionally, this shirt wrinkles super easily. The first wear was fine, but I only wore it once on my three-week trip because I didn’t have the time or resources to steam it before starting each day.

You’d probably expect that from a material like washable silk, but it’s something to consider.

Silk Slip Dress

A young woman wearing a dark blue Silk Slip Dress stands looking over her right shoulder in an interior setting with a map of California on the wall behind her.

I like this dress a lot–classy, simple, yet timeless. I also like that the top part isn’t too revealing when you bend over, a rarity with this type of cut.

I tested out this Silk Slip Dress in navy, size small.

This Silk Slip dress is available in over nine colors, and I was glad I chose a dark one.

The dress is very thin and wrinkles easily, like the other washable silk piece I tried.

All that said, I really like the style and cut of this dress. There’s something elegant yet simple about it. I wear it for date nights or throw a sweater over the top to make a silk skirt out of the bottom half of the dress.

All-Day Neoprene Backpack

A young woman wearing a brown Neoprene Backpack, grey Ultra-Soft High-Rise Leggings and a yellow shirt stands to the side looking over her shoulder at the camera in an interior setting.

The Neoprene backpack is a very solid and stylish backpack, the only downside is its lack of padding.

I tested out this All-Day Neoprene Backpack in Mocha.

I was interested in the All-Day Neoprene Backpack because it reminded me of the Dagne Dover Neoprene Backpack but at half the price.

I’m happy to report I liked this backpack even more than I expected.

This is a great backpack to use as a personal item for flying or traveling in general. The bag has a built-in luggage strap on the back, allowing you to slide it over suitcase handles. I also like the velcro tablet pocket inside, the overall bag capacity, and the soft outer material.

There are just two downsides I’ve noticed about this backpack…

First off, the straps don’t have much padding. After a long day of carrying this around exploring, the straps wore on my shoulders a bit. If there’s anything I could change, I’d add more padding for comfort.

Additionally, the backpack’s water bottle holders are way too small. The sleeves barely fit a plastic water bottle you’d buy at the airport, let alone my standard-size 22-oz reusable water bottle.

It makes me think the pockets are more for style than functionality.

Quince Sizing Tips & Fit

A young woman wearing black pants and a dark blue jacket walks down a road with her back to the camera in a rainy, hilly, green countryside landscape beneath an overcast sky.

I typically prefer brands that offer sizing based on the numerical system, as I find it tends to be more specific than small, medium, and large.

Regardless, I found the sizing guide on the website to be useful and correct (for the most part).

Quality Control

A woman wearing a white sweater seen from the shoulders down, pointing to a small hole in the sweater's chest.

Although Quince brands itself as a place to find good quality at affordable prices, I found the quality control to be lacking with a few pieces.

Whether it was the lining that wasn’t attached well or the feathers that came out of the puffer jacket, I worry whether these pieces will last long term.

Quince Return & Exchange Policy

A young woman wearing black pants and a dark blue jacket, stands in front of Stonehenge in a rainy, hilly, green countryside landscape beneath an overcast sky.

The timeline allotted for Quince returns is pretty impressive. Items can be returned up to 365 days from the purchase date–provided the items are unworn and in their original packaging.

Any made-to-order items have a $35 restocking fee.

Shipping is free and takes about 6-9 business days to arrive. You have the option to pay for expedited shipping if you wish.

Currently, Quince only ships in the United States. Check their Shipping & Returns page for the most up-to-date information.

Quince Discounts & Coupons

If you’re looking for a Quince discount code or sale, your best bet is to check during the major holidays that often bring sales, like Black Friday or Memorial Day.

Where to Buy Quince Clothing

FAQs About Quince Clothing

A young woman wearing leggings and a black Lightweight Down Puffer Jacket sits on a bench under a tree in a countryside landscape on a sunny day.

Is Quince legit?

Yes, Quince is legit. Many customers, myself included, have been quite happy with the products they’ve received from Quince.

Is Quince real silk?

Yes! Quince offers 90% to 100% real silk products.

Is Quince really high quality?

Yes and no. Quince markets itself as a brand that offers quality materials at better prices than other brands. However, from my experience, the quality faltered with at least a handful of pieces.

Why is Quince cheap?

Quince explains that prices remain low because the middleman is cut out. Quince products are sourced directly from manufacturers and offered to customers. This practice is part of the direct-to-consumer model.

Is Quince a Chinese company?

While Quince is headquartered in San Francisco, California, they use more than 50 manufacturers from all over the globe to make their products. Some of these manufacturers are in China .

Is Quince an ethical company?

When asked about sustainable practices beyond the information available on their website, Quince said:

“Our supply chain is socially and environmentally responsible, with 70% of our products being made from renewable materials, and 100% of the factories we work with are certified by third-party auditors to ensure safe and equitable working conditions.”

Additionally, Quince is working towards eliminating non-recycled plastics from their packaging. They promise to have all packaging 100% compostable by the end of 2023.

You may find yourself sacrificing quality for the low prices. While Quince is not technically fast fashion, it kind of defeats the purpose if clothes don’t last long and must be replaced.

Conclusion: So, is Quince’s Clothing Worth it?

A young woman in black pants and a dark blue jacket stands on a stone balcony in front of a view of rolling countryside hills and an overcast sky.

Based on my overall experience with the brand and clothing pieces I tried, I’d give Quince a 7/10 rating overall.

Quince clothing is worth it–as long as you keep your expectations at the same level as the price.

Higher quality, fully sustainable, and actual made-to-order items are out there. But if you want to try something a bit more accessible, check out Quince.

reviews of quince clothing

Like most things that I impulsively purchase at 1 a.m., I found out about Quince on Instagram. The targeted ad gods know I'm a sucker for budget-friendly basics that look expensive, and sandwiched between a Reel of Tabitha Brown making vegan scrambled eggs and a college pal's pandemic birthday photo dump, I discovered my first Quince find: A simple cashmere T-shirt that I knew would be the cornerstone of my wardrobe.

What started as a quest for "elegant-yet-comfortable basics I can wear on a Zoom call" closet staples became closet staple-staples. Quince started out offering leggings, tops, and sweaters, but quickly expanded its product inventory. You can now shop for bedding, jewelry, rugs, bath mats, and even skin care—all at attainable, affordable prices.

What's Quince?

Quince is a direct-to-consumer clothing (and lifestyle) brand that carries everything from dresses and T-shirts to home goods and jewelry—all with reasonable price tags. What makes Quince stand out from the deluge of budget-friendly basics is that it puts sustainability and quality front and center (and just because the price points are lower doesn't mean this ever impacts quality—ever). Quince mindfully works with factories that offer its employees equitable wages and safe work environments while keeping prices low by cutting out the "middleman" that most traditional supply chains still have in place (i.e. sourcing agents, warehousing, distribution, storefront retail costs, and wholesaling).

{{post.sponsorText}}

Quince has also committed to a more eco-conscious production of goods, making sure to avoid as much water and energy waste as possible, and steering clear of dangerous chemicals. The brand has even implemented 100 percent compostable packaging (including the elimination of single-use plastics).

Is Quince good?

All that good stuff aside, every single one of the Quince products I've tried has been of top-notch quality. Everything I've tested has been constructed with high-quality, long-lasting material, and at hard-to-beat prices. Like, on par with the pricey, ~fancy~ brands that take up equal real estate on your social feed. Plus, the brand has a generous return policy (365-day), so if you decide you don't like something, even months later, you can send it back.

Below are all the Quince goods I've tried, tested, and loved (a special shoutout to their washable silk —I have yet to find a competitor that makes washer-friendly silk apparel so effortless to wear and take care of).

The leggings we wrote about a year ago as a Lululemon dupe really are worth the hype—I’ve been wearing them for about two years now, and I can confirm they’re a really nice set of leggings for lounging and low-impact activities. I’d say go for a more compressed fit if you’re looking for a legging that’ll get you through marathon training, or an intense HIIT class—but if you’re looking for a soft, everyday yoga pant, look no further.

Made from a recycled polyester-spandex blend, you get generous 4-way stretch, and a high-rise fit that’s Downward Dog-friendly. Plus, its moisture-wicking and anti-microbial properties give you a little bit of leeway after an extra sweaty class (I have 100,000 percent gone to Trader Joe’s to pick up a salad after a hot yoga class, and didn’t feel like I was offending anyone with my drenched ensemble.)

Anyway, I love these leggings. Since they’re only $30, I have three pairs in different colors, but my favorite is the Heather Charcoal. I wear them with the Flowknit Ultra-Soft Performance Cropped Tank ($30), a soft, padded tank that feels like a low-impact sports bra.

4th of July is usually the very last day of “June Gloom” here in Los Angeles. From now until mid-November, Angelenos expect 80-100-degree days that are dry and relentless—and the only solution is to arm yourself with shorts (and hopefully a powerful A/C). These are the perfect “do-it-all” shorts, because I can wear them during the day for work (I work from home), on a long evening stroll with the dogs, on a trip to Trader Joe’s, and if I’m too lazy to change into PJs, I wear them to bed.

They’re made of a soft, stretchy, and durable polyester-spandex blend, and they’re moisture-wicking and quick-drying, so even if you sweat through them, they dry within minutes. (Case in point: I wore them over my swimsuit to the beach right outside the resort while on vacation, and they were dry by the time I got back to my hotel room.) I’ve worn these non-stop so far this summer, and I have no plans to stop—in fact, I’m ordering a few more colors.

While you *can* wear them while working out, I prefer shorts with built-in underwear (or, honestly, bike shorts), because otherwise they’re a bit too loose for most weight room activities, or even stretching.

It’s early September, which means it’s almost time for Princess Diana uniform season (aka, biker shorts, vintage sweater, sneakers…and maybe an iced PSL in hand, why not!). Another athleisure piece that looks (and feels) way more expensive than it should be, this pair of stretchy, moisture-wicking, anti-odor shorts are another go-to of mine.

You know how some biker shorts are too compressed and feel like they’re squeezing the life out of your thighs? Not these. Like the Performance leggings, these are soft, stretchy, and form-fitting, but they’re not holding everything in. This is definitely not shapewear. With that said, they’re great for your yoga class, hot girl walks, and lounging on the couch catching up on the new dragon-y Game of Thrones show. Bonus? They make your butt look awesome.

Holy. Softness. This oversized cashmere cardigan is the perfect amount of drape-y I need for that effortless-yet-put-together look I strive for when I truly don’t have the time. It somehow comfort-ifies my outfit while simultaneously making me look more chic. Crafted from 100 percent Grade A Mongolian cashmere, I’d say it’s “medium” level thick (perfect for chilly morning and nights—you’d need to layer up in the winter). I love the fisherman rib detailing—it gives the fabric a higher quality look than your average cardigan. I’ve been wearing it for weeks, and so far? No pilling.

reviews of quince clothing

For an elevated “I just threw a hoodie on” ensemble, I am head-over-heels in love with this cashmere sweater. Made from 100 percent Mongolian cashmere, the material is impressively soft. The length isn’t super long, but isn’t boxy either—it’s a happy medium that makes it possible to tuck into your high-waist jeans, or show off that booty if you’re wearing leggings. It’s also on the drape-y side, which I love. The arms are nice and long, and when you want to snuggle up, just throw that hoodie over your head. The thickness of the material is equal to the cashmere cardigan (above), so it’s definitely toasty (but you’d want to layer up if you’re braving true winter weather).

Both cashmere options are a perfect indoor option—great for classing up with some jeans, also great for lounging in your sweatpants. You get a bang for your buck either way.

quince black dress

First of all, I need to just say: I haven’t felt this confident in a bodycon-style dress in a long time. After literal years of basically living in baggy sweatshirts and sweatpants, the idea of a skin-tight dress doesn’t exactly feel appealing. But the second I slipped this on, I felt comfortable, put together, and pretty fly. The material is this buttery Tencel with a splash of spandex for that ultra stretch (but so stretch that you feel like you’re wearing a nightgown—this dress still has form). The fabric is ultra soft, and pill-resistant, so you can wear it non-stop (and wash and dry it) without the material wearing down and looking shabby.

What gives it that wink of sexiness is the side slit, which is just dramatic enough—it hits mid-thigh (I’m 5’7) so you don’t have to worry about folks seeing your underpants every time you sit down. I recently (in the photo above) dressed it up for a baby shower and wore it with some heeled sandals, but I’ve also worn it with sneakers and sweater for more of a casual ensemble. It’s one of the best, most versatile dresses in my closet.

After my husband complimented my Quince outfits several times, I decided to put him to work and have him test some of the Quince men’s goods. And because I was genuinely curious. I’m here to report the men’s clothing options are just as luxurious, well-fitted, and high-quality as the women’s offerings I’ve tried. My husband tried the Mongolian Cashmere Ribbed Crewneck, which he ordered in the size he always gets (medium), and it fit like it was tailor-made for him.

Warm, yet layerable, this crewneck is ideal for everyday wear as well as fancier occasions, thanks to its leveled-up ribbed texture, which looks more premium. It was worn to a family Thanksgiving dinner and a date night out—yet is still casual enough for a grocery trip. (Feel free to dress it up with a buttoned-up shirt underneath for a scholastic/Wall Street look.) “I feel put together. It’s so soft. I know this will have to get dry-cleaned eventually, but I don’t even care,” he texts me after I asked him for a quick summary. I agree that it’s incredibly soft—I’ve already borrowed it several times.

And you just can’t really beat the price.

quince hoodie

My SO is a big fan of hoodies (he likes the zip-up option), so I asked him to swap his Hanes cotton zip-up hoodie for this Quince Mongolian Cashmere Full-Zip hoodie—a nice upgrade if you ask me. My husband got it in medium, which is his go-to size, and it fit perfectly—fitted enough to be worn by itself without looking baggy, but stretchy enough to easily layer with a long-sleeve shirt or even another sweater (which is what he did in the above photo).

Made from 100 percent Grade A Mongolian cashmere, this is the luxury hoodie you’ll want in your closet. With small, thoughtful details like a nickel finish front zipper and metal drawcord tips, this sweatshirt is soft to the touch while remaining durable for everyday wear. My husband can’t stop wearing it, and tells me it’s one of the best gifts I’ve gotten him. “I can’t believe how soft it is,” he says.

The washable silk top has entered the chat. I probably have, like, 20 years worth of outfits to choose from, but that doesn’t stop me from having a quasi-nervous breakdown every time I have to get dressed to go out. Which is why I’ve made a silk cami and jeans my fail-safe “going out” uniform. Even though I have a closet full of dresses and jumpsuits, 9/10 times you will see me at a restaurant or at the movies wearing a silk cami and jeans. It’s just how I roll.

And Quince’s silk camis are *chef’s kiss*. Made with 90 percent mulberry silk and 10 percent spandex, I don’t have to worry about the inevitable stains that’ll end up on this top, because I can (and I have) throw it in the wash when I’m done with it. It’s dressy-feeling, goes with everything, and has adjustable straps (which is really nice, especially if you have smaller or bigger boobs and are tired of ill-fitting tops).

I’ve washed my silk cami fives times now, and it looks like I just bought it. Genius.

reviews of quince clothing

And when I need to put in more effort than a silk cami, I throw on this silk blouse. It’s the top I wear for Zoom calls for which I want to look really smart, dinners with outdoor seating, and other occasions that make me feel like I need to “step up my game.”

The washable silk blouse is made from the same material as the cami, so it’s identically soft and luxurious-feeling, and you can totally toss it in the washer when it’s time. It’s nice and loose-fitting, so I can easily tuck it in my pants, or wear for a flow-y fit.

I bought this easy, silk wrap dress for my 31st “30th birthday do-over” birthday when I was looking for something I could easily pair with my sparkly Jimmy Choo heels but didn’t cost as much as sparkly Jimmy Choo heels. And luckily I could, because I had to wait weeks until it was finally back in stock. Falling right above the knee (I’m 5’8”), this wrap dress feels like butter when you wear it, and like all of Quince’s silk pieces, you don’t have to stress about ruining it via spaghetti sauce or spilled drink. To top it off, it’s allegedly nourishing for you skin, as it’s silk fabric contains 18 kinds of amino acids.

You can’t tell because I’m wearing my leather jacket with it, but the dress has simple, loose sleeves, and a snap enclosure that ensures you won’t be flashing anyone (unless you wanna). This has been my all-time favorite LBD, but the dress also comes in navy (hopefully Quince will launch more colorful offerings).

My first foray into Quince: I bought the Mongolian Cashmere Tee for myself a couple years ago, and it’s still one of my favorite tops. Normally I say “no thank you” to sweater tees, because I think they’re a confusing concept, but this one is really light, perfectly fluffy, and fits like a dream. It’s made of 100 percent Mongolian cashmere, and has a comfortable, relaxing fit (you can easily tuck it into your pants or wear un-tucked—I’ve done both.) It’s got kind of a ’90s vibe, so I like to wear it with my high waist jeans and boots, but it’s incredibly versatile. Pair it with your skirt, shorts—anything you want.

I wear this top a lot in the fall—it’s great for Los Angeles autumns. When it gets chillier, I opt for my Quince shrunken cashmere sweater ($70), which offers more coverage (but honestly isn’t heavy duty enough for real winter.)

The Tencel Jersey Fit & Flare Dress is the latest Quince addition to my closet, and it served me well this summer. Made of a stretchy and soft Tencel-spandex fabric, this dress has no zippers, so you can just throw it on two minutes before you head out the door. Easy, breezy, and beautiful (that scoop neck, though), I’ve either worn it on almost day trip and packed it anywhere I knew would be warm.

Bonus? It has pockets.

I’ve tested dozens of bedding brands, and trust me when I say this duvet cover is a legitimate dupe for Citizenry’s pricey linen line. I’ve been using Quince’s linen duvet set all summer long because it’s so breathable (and I run hot at night, yet refuse to sleep without at least seven layers cradling my body) and soft. Plus, I love the colors.

I. Love. This. Throw. It looks so elegant, adding an easy “put togetherness” to my living room ensemble, which is often times cluttered with dog toys and bones (and the occasional lone shoe or slipper one of the dogs drag out for attention-seeking purposes). The faux fur throw is warm (excellent for chilly nights spent on the couch watching movies), and ultra soft (I make sure to bust it out when I have guests over, because it makes couch seating much more comfortable and luxe-feeling). It’s not the *softest* faux fur I’ve ever tried, but for $90, I’m really happy with it, especially since it’s really durable and I’ve already washed it in the machine twice (thanks, dogs) and it still looks as good as new.

The faux fur part is made from an acrylic and polyester material, while the soft, velvet-y back is polyester. I think what makes this look “real” is the fiber tips which are dyed black for more dimension. I got a 50×60 throw for my couch, which is definitely big enough to cover one person, but if you’re looking to cozy up with someone else, I’d recommend the 60×80 (which is $140).

quince rug review

I’m really impressed with the quality of Quince rugs! I’ve been tested the Isla Tufted Wool Rug, which is made from 100 percent durable wool, and hand-tufted by artisans in India, so it looks far less “generic” than something you might get at Rugs USA (no hate toward Rugs USA—Rugs USA is my jam, but they’re pretty cookie-cutter when it comes to designs). The Isla rug is currently hanging out in my bonus room space (which we very much don’t know what to do with quite yet, hence the orange pillows with blue rug—sorry!) It helps tie the room together, and once we figure out a color scheme for the space, I’m confident it’ll look more complete, thanks to the rug.

In terms of material, it’s a nice, thick wool that’s also not hard to maintain. I’ve vacuumed the rug at least a dozen times, and this doesn’t compromise the fabric (although you may get some wool shedding leftover, which is normal—I generally just pick those up after vacuuming). I think if we didn’t have this rug in the bonus room, we’d put it in the bedroom, because it’s a plusher, softer feel that would be nice for when we’re barefoot.

I think for the price, you get a high-quality, luxury-looking rug that really fits in just about anywhere and is versatile enough for any room! Just a note that the padding is *not* included, and you’ll definitely want that!

quince bag review

As someone who owns a similar leather quilted-style bag (but Gucci’s), I can confirm that Quince’s has that same luxury Italian leather feel that gives your ensemble a “quiet luxury” edge that’s all the rage on social media in our post- Succession world. The biggest difference is the flashy label (although, “quiet luxury” rules specifically favor hidden labels—just saying) and the golden or silver chain a lot of the quilted leather bags typically come with.

With all that said: Aside from being a luxe dupe, this bag is just very good. I took it with me to a vacation in Mexico, and I used it everywhere to see if I could really test its durability. A 105-degree tour in Yucatan to see ancient Mayan temples? Check. An entire week at the beach and pool? Check. Lugged with me on several airplane rides? Check, check, check. The sunscreen and sand that threatened to wreck this pretty little bag came off/out easily with some Wet Wipes, the leather looking as good as new after my week of heavy-duty testing.

The interior of the bag has a simple layout—one extra pocket (in which I stored my passport and lip balm) along with the “main cabin” that fit my wallet, sunglasses, Kindle, sunscreen, room key, and some pens. The crossbody strap is adjustable, and I liked that it has a zipper enclosure—perfect for safe travels.

Sometimes, when a new “It” brand begins popping up everywhere , we can’t help but feel a bit…suspicious. Why is everyone suddenly wearing it? Are the pieces really that good? More than once, we’ve been left feeling disappointed, but in the case of sustainable luxury fashion brand Quince , the clothing and accessories are worth the hype.

The best things to buy from Quince, at a glance:

  • Responsible Down Puffer Vest , $99.90
  • Baby Alpaca-Wool Quarter Zip , $69.90
  • Australian Shearling Mini Boots , 69.90
  • Responsible Down Cropped Puffer Jacket , $119.90
  • Mongolian Cashmere Fisherman Pullover Hoodie , $119.90
  • 100% Organic Cotton Knit Blazer , $69.90
  • Ultra Stretch Ponte Cropped Wide Leg Pant , $49.90
  • 100% Washed Leather Bomber Jacket , $179.90

What does Quince sell?

In case you haven’t been targeted by social media ads or spotted the pieces in various shopping stories, Quince is essentially a one-stop shop for fashion essentials. A quick browse through the brand’s site and you’ll see that Quince makes clothing for women, men, babies and children, as well as home goods , travel essentials, and luggage. Still, the brand is sure not to overproduce, sticking with classic staples rather than rushing to be on-trend.

Why is Quince so affordable?

Is quince good.

Quince’s clothing, accessories, and home goods feel like high-end designs despite the low cost. That’s because it uses luxury materials, including Mongolian cashmere, Italian leather, and organic cotton. In terms of a company, it also keeps sustainability in mind, only working with factories that aim to limit their impact on the environment and treat their employees fairly.

Best Quince Clothing & Accessories

Quince item: responsible down puffer vest.

reviews of quince clothing

“I initially worried about the Responsible Down Puffer Vest not being warm enough for New York City winter weather, but so far, I’ve been A-OK in temperatures that fall in the 30s and 40s. In fact, I prefer to wear my puffer vest to avoid overheating on the packed subway, so if you run warm, consider getting this lightweight yet still toasty layer.

The removable hood is a standout feature, but I think my favorite part is the fleece-lined pockets that stop my hands from freezing. While I wish they had zippers instead of snap closures, I appreciate how deep they are because I can fit my bulky keys and hand in one pocket, and my phone and other hand in the other. There’s also an interior pocket (with a zipper) that houses my two lip balms and a pair of gloves. All of these storage options have me ditching my purse on most days.

“I’ve been dying to get my hands on a quarter-zip sweater that looks and feels luxurious, and I couldn’t have found a better option than the Baby Alpaca-Wool Quarter Zip . The material is ultra-soft and, best of all, not itchy. While lightweight, it’s actually very warm, plus it’s super versatile and timeless. When I styled it with my Quince puffer vest (pictured above), the outfit felt very “cool rich aunt,” which has me thinking that perhaps I’ve found my new aesthetic. I’ve also worn it with an oversized bomber jacket and puffer coats .

reviews of quince clothing

Color Options: 3 Size Range: Small Material: Suede, shearling

“I’ve been wearing these shearling boots for about six months — they warmed my feet through LA’s weirdly cold and rainy spring, were perfect for chilly summer nights by the beach, and are currently keeping me cozy as the temps dip. As someone who has been wearing UGG boots since the 9th grade (I am from SoCal after all), I can confirm these are just as good at half the price. They look and feel like the same thing, and they are truly just as durable. Things I love about them: They’re non-slip, so whether I’m shuffling into the kitchen on my vinyl floors at 6 a.m. or walking my dogs across the slippery grass at the park, these boots have A+ traction. They come pre-water repellent treated so they’ve been able to handle light rain (but I wouldn’t wear them in the snow or during a downpour — and if you want to, I’d apply more water repellent). The suede leather upper and 100 percent Austrailian shearling lining feels luxe. I’m a big fan!”

reviews of quince clothing

Color Options: 7 Size Range: XS – XL Material: Recycled polyester shell, nylon and elastane cuffs, and a fill made off goose down and goose feathers

“I wore this puffer to the San Bernardino mountains last winter and was so impressed by how warm it kept me — chilling winds, snow, and all. Back in LA, where I live, I wore this on cold nights walking my dogs (in 40-degree weather — it gets chilly at night!) and it kept me super snug. As someone who originally dealt with Minnesota winters, I know how stifling a winter jacket can be, and this puffer still gives you enough freedom for movement while keeping you insulated and protected from the elements (thanks to the water-repellent and wind-resistant fabric, you’ll stay dry). The fit is adjustable (hood is removable, bungee drawcord lets you choose how snug you want to be). And the fabric itself feels luxe and is durable. Plus, I like the sleeve thumbholes (a great feature for dog walkers who have to keep at least one of their hands exposed!).”

reviews of quince clothing

Color Options: 6 Size Range: XS – XL Material: 100% Grade-A Mongolian cashmere

“Quince is known for making classic pieces over trendy ones, but this ribbed hoodie brought me straight back to the early ’00s — I even joked on Instagram that it reminded me of something my middle school crushes might have worn (and trust, I mean that as a compliment). Still, I highly doubt the boys back then were rocking Mongolian cashmere, which is what this option is made of. Not only is it super soft, I felt it was warm enough for a (heated) outdoor dinner date, no coat required. Typically, I range between an XS and small in clothing, and the latter gave me the perfect oversized look. I dressed up this typically casual staple with a mini skirt and boots, but prepare to see me styling it with jeans, trousers, and maybe even pajama pants (it’s that cozy).

reviews of quince clothing

“I’m going through a preppy phase, but I’m also a Taurus — I can’t deal with stiff clothing and would rather wear softer, comfortable clothing. Quince’s Organic Cotton Knit Blazer satisfies both needs. On one hand, it looks sleek and really pulls an outfit together, just like a structured option would. However, it’s as soft and flexible as a cardigan or sweater. This might become my new go-to layer!”

Quince Item: Ultra Stretch Ponte Cropped Wide Leg Pant , $49.90 Color Options: 11 Size Range: 0 – 16 Material: Rayon, nylon, and spandex

“You may see trousers in this photo, but what I feel is sweatpants. These super stretchy slacks are the pants for people who hate anything that feels too constricting but still want a sharp, elevated look. The wide leg is roomy and relaxed, but the waist is the real highlight — it’s snug and supportive without feeling too tight (especially after a bloat-inducing meal). I’m also 5’0, so the cropped length is perfect for my short legs — they hit my ankle and no alterations are needed.

reviews of quince clothing

Color Options: Black Size Range: XS – XL Material: Top grain sheep leather, poly stain

“If you’re obsessed with buying leather jackets like I am, you’ll want to add this bomber option to your collection right away. It’s super sleek looking (if you prefer an oversized fit, I’d recommend sizing up) and extremely comfortable—the leather feels so soft. It hits right at my waist for a very flattering look, and as someone who doesn’t always want to carry a handbag out on the town, I appreciate the two roomy pockets in the front.

No joke, I’ve worn this jacket nearly every day since it arrived, including to the office, on nights out to the bars and even on little errand runs. It’s also surprisingly warm (I’ve been fine layering a long sleeve underneath on 45-degree days in NYC), though I imagine I’ll have to add a puffer on top once the weather really dips.

For the level of quality—the leather used for this jacket is biodegradable and tanned in a Leather Working Group certified tannery—the price is extremely reasonable. If you’ve been searching for a black leather jacket you can wear regularly that won’t cost you hundreds, this is the one.”

reviews of quince clothing

Color Options: 5 Size Range: Full/Queen, King/Cal King Material: 100% cotton velvet

“One Quince category to make sure not to overlook is the bedding. This is my second piece of Quince bedding , and I’m once again so impressed. The material feels so incredibly luxe, and it keeps me nice and cozy without making me feel overheated (I’m a hot sleeper, so waking up sweaty is a common occurrence — sorry, TMI!).

I chose the Full/Queen size for my Queen mattress, and it fits perfectly. Not too big so that it hangs awkward, and not too small so that it barely covers the sides and leaves too much of the fitted sheet exposed. It’s not especially plush, so if you’re looking for something very full and thick for harsh winters, this may not be the best bet — but if you prefer a lighter quilt, this is for you.

And it’s definitely a looker. I got Forest Green, and it makes my room look so put together and chic — you honestly can’t even fully see the richness of the shade in the above photo. For the price, you get a quilt that’s made with high-quality materials that feel high quality (and sustainably made — it’s OEKO-TEX® 100 certified and free of harmful chemicals or pesticides), comparable to a brand like Brooklinen or Parachute.”

Quince Item: Classic Organic Percale Deluxe Bedding Bundle , $140-$190

Quince Classic Organic Percale Deluxe Bedding Bundle

Color Options: 13 Size Range: Twin, Full, Queen, King, California King Material: 100% organic cotton

“Before moving to New York City a little over two years ago, I plowed through what felt like hundreds of pages of bedding. By the end of my search, Quince was the last one standing. I ultimately went with this brand because of its high-quality make, minimalistic aesthetic, sustainable materials, and price.

While Quince offers everything from brushed cotton to bamboo bedding, I landed on the Classic Organic Percale Deluxe Bedding Bundle . Why this one? Well, I was sold on the crisp 100 percent organic long-staple cotton and 270 thread count, as the bedding felt super soft and luxurious (and it still does more than two years later). According to the brand, the fabric is best for hot sleepers and warm climates, which makes total sense given the lightweight, breathable feel. The percale has definitely helped me stay cool throughout the night, rather than melting from the radiator.

This bundle comes in 13 colors and patterns, but I decided on Sand because I didn’t want my room to be all white everything, so going with a lighter neutral shade like this one seemed like a good idea—and it was. The set showed up at my door in the same color I fell in love with on the website and also neatly packed in matching drawstring storage bags (we stan handy and thoughtful packaging!).

Lastly, and perhaps most important if you’re trying to be a smart shopper, is price. Competitors that make percale bedding usually carry sets that only include pillowcases, a fitted sheet, and a flat sheet. I’m not seeing many (or any) besides Quince that also throw in a duvet cover. These kinds of sets (for a Full-sized bed) are made from popular brands, and they’re going for $139, $159, and even $188. Meanwhile, the $140 Classic Organic Percale Deluxe Bedding Bundle includes a duvet cover, a fitted sheet, a flat sheet, two pillowcases, and two shams. The Quince set no doubt offers you more bang for your buck.

If you still have questions about this bedding set, check out my full review .”

My honest Quince review with sizing insights for every piece I’ve ordered!

quince review, quince alpaca sweater

Obsessed with this alpaca sweater !

As many of you know, I try really hard to do put a question box up every week, and one topic that popped up ALL the time is Quince . Have you tried Quince? Is Quince good quality? Is Quince legit?! And I get the curiosity – I was curious too! So after months of wondering along with you, I finally went to their website and placed a big order so I could write a full Quince review.

Fast forward a few months, and I obviously had to place another order and update this post for spring! So let’s get to it!

What is Quince?

Quince is a direct-to-consumer retail website  that carries clothing, leather goods, accessories, home decor, bed and bath, and more. It’s CRAZY how much variety they have, especially since they are committed to high quality products and sustainability… for a fraction of the cost of other brands.

Sustainability

It’s not often that you find a brand that is both affordable and sustainable, but Quince has somehow managed to do it. They are committed to more eco-conscious production with sustainably produced materials. They ship directly from the factory to the consumer, which reduces their carbon footprint.

They are eliminating all virgin plastic in their packaging, and all of their packaging will be 100% compostable by the end of the year. And they work with factories that provides equitable wages and safe work environments for their workers.

Do you have a Quince discount code?

Unfortunately I don’t have a Quince discount code – and you are unlikely to find one anywhere. This is because the prices are already so low for the quality of the items. I really respect this because, while I love a deal, I also try to avoid supporting unethical retailers as much as possible. I think their items are priced really fairly right from the start, so that helps too!

Quince Review

If you’re new here, welcome! For context, I am 5’2″ and I typically wear either an XS or S in tops.

quince review, quince cashmere sweater, washable silk

Mongolian Cashmere Shrunken Sweatshirt – $69.90

I’ve been eyeing this cashmere sweater since I first started writing this Quince review back in February, and it’s just as good as I wanted it to be! It has a subtle v-stitch at the neck and raglan sleeves, like a sweatshirt… except it’s made out of the softest cashmere. This color is stunning in person and I sized up to a medium for a cozy/slightly oversized fit.

100% Washable Silk Mini Skirt – $49.90

I tend to stray away from silk, but this skirt is another story because it’s WASHABLE!!! It’s made from 100% washable mulberry silk with a satin finish and it has a hidden elastic waistband. It also comes in a midi length too! I got a size small.

quince review, joggers

Flowknit Mid-Rise Jogger – $39.90

A follower of mine actually DMed me to tell me I needed to try these joggers and I’m so glad I did! They have a drawstring, pockets, and cuffed ankles that make them very petite friendly.

They’re also made from Global Recycle Standard poly yarn which diverts and recycles plastics that would have gone to landfills or the ocean – and instead turns them into this cozy loungewear! I got a size small.

quince ugg dupes

Australian Shearling Clog Slippers – $49.90

Ummmm do these slippers look familiar?! They look so much like the $130 Ugg slippers, except these are only $50! I was skeptical when I ordered but I can confirm that they are absolutely beautiful and insanely warm and soft. The best holiday gift in this whole Quince review!

I am a 6.5 shoe and I sized up to a 7 which was necessary because even those are a little snug. In other words, if you’re between sizes, make sure you size up!

quince fisherman sweaters

Women’s 100% Organic Cotton Fisherman Crew Sweater – $39.90

I don’t own any Jenni Kayne but apparently this Fisherman Sweater is very similar to theirs – except JK’s is $395 and this is only $40. This one is made from 100% organic cotton and it’s a great weight with really nice rib detailing all over. I got a size small and it isn’t very oversized, so I’d definitely size up if you want more slouch.

ITALIAN LEATHER QUILTED CROSSBODY BAG  – $129.90

Omg  THIS BAG . Alllll the heart eyes! To be totally honest, I kind of assumed that I would return it, but I figured it was worth a shot for the color and the price. But now that it’s here – SHE’S STAYIN. I cannot get over how much I love it. Update after 9+ months: it’s still in beautiful condition and I wear it alllll the time! I even bought another one in stone this summer!

First, the color is even better in person. It’s so versatile for literally any season in Chicago. Second, this is real Italian leather for $130! We’re talking soft, beautiful, handcrafted leather goodness. If you want to see more ( like what fits inside ), I saved some stories about it to a Quince highlight on my  Instagram page , too!

Men’s 100% Organic Cotton Fisherman Crew Sweater – $59.90

Let’s add a men’s item to this Quince review, shall we?! Adam needed a new warm sweater and I suggested the men’s version of the one I have – and it’s a hit! Just like mine, it’s made from 100% organic cotton and it has a nice weight to it. Adam got it in a size large.

one quince review cashmere

Mongolian Cashmere Boyfriend Cardigan ($139.90 ) and Mongolian Cashmere Cropped Tank ($39.90)

Quince’s cashmere is SO impressive, especially for the price – and I love this set so much! I got a small in both the tank and the cardigan , but I should have sized down in the cardigan. It is VERY oversized, so just be aware of that when ordering!

Quince Review - Alpaca Crewneck Sweater

Alpaca Crewneck Sweater – $49.90

One thing to know about me is that I LOVE Everlane’s alpaca crewneck . I own it in 3 colors and have been wearing them for years – so the fact that this $50 version is ( dare I say it! ) just as good is blowing my MIND.

I sized up to a small in this one because I wanted that cozy fit, and I’m glad I did because it runs a lot smaller than the Everlane version. It comes in 6 colors and it’s really soft and warm!

reviews of quince clothing

100% Organic Cotton Boyfriend Crew – $39.90

This cotton sweater is oversized but also pretty petite friendly since it’s a little cropped in the front and longer in the back. It also has pretty ribbed detailing on the cuffs and hem that I like a lot. I got a small and it’s very slouchy on me. It comes in 12 colors too, so there are lots of options!

Quince Review - Cashmere Batwing Sweater

Cashmere Batwing Sweater – $79.90

I wasn’t sure if this batwing sweater was going to look ridiculous on me since I’m short, but I’m glad I tried it because I looooove it. It’s made with 100% Grade-A Mongolian cashmere that is SO soft, I didn’t want to take it off.

The S/M size is definitely big on me but I think it’s really cute when you do a little half tuck! The green is really pretty in real life, and it comes in 6 other colors. I will be living in this until it warms up again, especially on work from home days!

Quince Review - Washable Silk Blouse

Washable Silk Blouse – $69.90

I get tons of questions about workwear and this blouse is going to be my new top recommendation. Remember the washable silk skirt? Well, this is made from the same material. Hooray for no dry cleaning! It also comes in 9 different colors, so you could technically get one for every day of the week. Wear them with a skirt or trousers to the office and with leggings on your Zooms from home 😉

I got a small and it’s long on me but that’s to be expected because I’m short. Nothing a little tuck can’t fix!

Quince Review - Cashmere Crewneck Sweater

Cashmere Crewneck Sweater – $50

The fact that this sweater is only $50 is BANANAS. The style isn’t anything groundbreaking, but it is timeless. Crew neck, slim fit, lightweight but cozy… it will never go out of style. It’s also made from 100% Grade-A Mongolian cashmere so it’s incredibly soft and warm. I recommend sizing up if you want a little bit of a slouch to it – I have on a size small here. It also comes in 13 colors!

Quince Review - Chiffon Smocked Blouse

Chiffon Smocked Blouse – $59.90

This blouse is so cute and fun! The chiffon fabric is made from 100% recycled polyester and it feels a lot more expensive than $60. That being said, I told myself I wouldn’t keep everything from this order, so this one is another one that is going back. I think it could be a winner if you’ve been on the hunt for an affordable top you can dress up or down though! I’m wearing a small here.

reviews of quince clothing

100% Organic Cotton Open-Knit Cover-Up Crew – $39.90

This open knit pullover is marketed as a cover up but it’s actually perfect for any mild weather. I have size small and it has a really slouchy and relaxed fit.

I would absolutely wear it over a swimsuit but I also really love it with jeans!

quince linen shorts

100% European Linen Shorts – $29.90

These are hands down the best linen shorts I’ve ever owned – and they’re only $30?!?! INSANE! They are super comfortable, I love the drawstring waist and the pockets are perfectly placed.

They’re also made with linen from 100% European flax, which is more sustainable and less resource-intensive to grow. I sized up to a medium to ensure that they were extra comfy. I truly have nothing but amazing things to say about these shorts. 10/10 recommend!

quince one piece swimsuit

Italian Wrap One Piece Swimsuit – $49.90

This swimsuit might look a little familiar… I had been eyeing this $95 beauty for a while but I wasn’t sure if I wanted to spend that much. So when I saw that this one was half the price, I added it to my cart and I am very impressed with it!

I sized up to a size 6 which I’m really glad I did because it’s pretty snug! The compressive fabric is really nice though, and I love that it has sewn-in soft cups that offer support without moving around. The booty is also pretty full coverage, and you can adjust the side tie to your liking.

quince review

Cropped Square Neck Sweater Tank – $34.90

Okay I feel like I’ve been searching for this knit tank my whole life! It has just the right about of structure and stretch, and the texture makes it a little more interesting. It’s also the PERFECT length with high waisted jeans. It also comes in 3 colors and I got a size small.

quince review - black slip maxi dress

Tencel Rib Knit Maxi Slip Dress – $49.90

I don’t wear bodycon dresses very often but this dress hugs allllll the curves, baby! I’ve never tried the Skims long slip dress , but I’ve heard that this is a good dupe for it. I love that the fabric is super soft and breathable, and even though it’s sexy, you can actually style it a lot of different ways !

This blog post has the links to 5 outfit ideas too. II got a size small and it’s a little long on my 5’2″ self but it’s perfect with heels and I can add a belt and shimmy it up to wear with flat shoes.

reviews of quince clothing

100% European Linen Long Sleeve Shirt – $39.90

Linen shirts are a spring/summer STAPLE and Quince has made a really good one . Their linen is made from 100% European flax, which is more sustainable and less resource-intensive to grow. I got a size small and it’s great as a shirt, but I particularly love it styles as a light top layer. Wear it open or tied at the waist!

quince review

Brushed Short Sleeve Lounge Tee – $29.90

Holy moly this tee is SO SOFT. I literally ran over to Adam as soon as I opened it to make him feel it too 😂 The fabric plus the relaxed fit and dolman sleeve definitely make this a lounge-y tee, but it still looks nice enough to style different ways. I got an XS and it’s still a little oversized on me.

reviews of quince clothing

Tencel Jersey Fit & Flare Mini Dress – $39.90

I’m going to be totally honest – this dress is going back. Not everything in this Quince review can be a winner, right? It’s really soft and nicely made, but I am too short for it and I don’t think it’s worth getting shortened. That being said, if you are taller than 5’2″, I think it’s definitely worth a try! It’s suuuper comfortable and comes in 3 different colors. I got a size small.

Quince Review: My favorite pieces

Today we’re talking all about my favorite pieces from Quince. I’m sharing sizing and quality details on the 10 pieces I’ve ordered over the last year (and which ones are worth buying). This honest Quince review is not sponsored but may contain affiliate links.

reviews of quince clothing

I finally tried Quince for the first time last year when I ordered cashmere sweaters as gifts for family members. After stealing Ben’s multiple times (I think I wear it more than he does), it was time to get my own.

Quince is known for great styles made out of high-end fabrics (think silk and cashmere) at moderate prices. They list the traditional retail right next to their lower price which makes the bargain hunter in me so happy. If you’re someone who only likes to buy things on sale, Quince manages to give you that feeling even when it is full price.

I have been very happy with what I’ve ordered from Quince right out of the box but the real question is, how do the Quince pieces hold up? Do they last? Are they great staples or is this just fast fashion disguised as eco-friendly closet staples?

I’ll go through all the things I’ve ordered from Quince over the last year.

My Favorite Quince Pieces

The very best thing from Quince is the cashmere cardigan. It is right up there with Dime Perfume as my most worn thing these days. Wondering what the other best products to buy from Quince are? Here is what I ordered and my thoughts on the sizing, quality, and fit of each one.

Favorite Item: Quince Cashmere Cardigan ($140)

reviews of quince clothing

I am obsessed with this cardigan.

It cool, easy, and so incredibly soft . Truly, you will never want to take it off. It has a slouchy oversized fit. I ordered my regular size, XS, and it is perfect. I would trade all my other sweaters to have this in every color.

A note on quality: I’ve had this sweater for months and worn it regularly. I have washed it a time or two but mostly have just worn it and put it back on the hanger. A couple of months in and it has begun to pill. I’m going to try my sweater shaver with it because it is still my favorite sweater to wear. $140 for a sweater that is going to only last a few months seems a bit steep (albeit a few months of VERY regular wear – some weeks I wear it 3 times).

It is supposedly a great dupe for the Jenni Kayne boyfriend cashmere cardigan (which I haven’t tried but have put on my wishlist).

Shop the cashmere boyfriend cardigan

Men’s Mongolian Cashmere Crewneck Sweater ($60)

reviews of quince clothing

I ordered this for my husband for Christmas last year and have stolen it a few times. It has a bit more weight to it than the woman’s $50 cashmere (but maybe just because it is a men’s medium). I love the slouchy fit on me. I wish I would have sized up more in my cashmere sweaters from Quince!

This makes a fantastic Christmas gift at a great price point (that seems more expensive than it is).

Shop the men’s Mongolian crewneck

Women’s $50 Cashmere V-neck

reviews of quince clothing

I’m wearing a small. I thought I sized up for a slightly oversized fit but I find these sweaters are fitted. Size up one for a similar fit to mine in this picture and size up two for more of an oversized fit. I love throwing this over my shoulders in our fake California fall.

A note on quality: I’ve only worn this one 3-4 times and have noticed it is starting to pill. I’ll put a closeup below. You can add a cashmere comb to your order for $10 (which I’ll do next time and see how brushing helps remove the pilling)

reviews of quince clothing

Kids Fisherman Cashmere

reviews of quince clothing

Is there anything sweeter than a snuggly toddler in the softest sweater? This is the most classic, elevated kid’s piece that is perfect for the holidays or family photos. The sweater is a medium to lightweight and very cozy.

Note: If I were buying this again, I would get the gorgeous oatmeal color just so it is a bit more kid-friendly.

shop kid’s fisherman cashmere

Baby Cashmere Jogger Set:

reviews of quince clothing

What a gorgeous baby set! This set is warm, soft, and so cozy . Our baby girl has only worn it a handful of times for pictures because she’s crawling everywhere and destroying the knees on everything. This is definitely better in the pre-crawling or post-crawling stage (as are all baby clothes that cover the knees).

This would make a fantastic baby gift (especially when baby or parents already seem to have everything).

Shop baby cashmere set

Washable Silk Tee

reviews of quince clothing

This is one of my favorite pieces from Quince. I’ve heard so many good things about Quince silk pieces (they tend to be people’s favorite items from their orders) and I get the hype. This silk tee elevates any look and can be worn so many different ways. Plus, it is washable!

Size note: Order your regular size for a closer fit and size up one for a little bit of a looser fit (I wish I would have gone up one size).

shop the silk tees

Basic Cotton Modal Tee ($15)

reviews of quince clothing

This is a good basic. I love it layered under sweaters or on its own with jeans. It is a little bit sheer. I would order it again in a non-white color if wearing it regularly on its own. It is my favorite tee for layering during the winter because it is thin and soft but still holds its shape.

A note on sizing: This is a fitted tee. I like my tees a bit looser. I am wearing a small here and will order a medium next time. I usually wear an XS/S.

shop the cotton modal tee

Cotton Fisherman Sweater ($50)

This was a top recommendation and it is a fantastic sweater. It is on par with any chunky sweater like this I’ve owned from Madewell but is only $50. It isn’t as soft as the cashmere but I’m also hoping that means it doesn’t pill as quickly. I wear this one a lot less because it is white (and, you know, I have four kids) but it comes in a million colors.

I sized up to a small in this and it is oversized and long. There is a lot of material because the sweater is thick. It runs true to size so if you want a roomier cozier fit, size up. This one gets an A+ from me.

shop the cotton fisherman sweater

Italian Leather Quilted Crossbody Bag

reviews of quince clothing

This is a great bag to get the look of the YSL crossbody without the price tag or statement logo. I love this as an everyday purse and the taupe color is beautiful.

I have only carried this one a handful of times, though, so I will report back on how it holds up to more regular use. It is a thinner/softer leather than my Mansur Gavriel bag but it does seem comparable to something you’d purchase for $200.

If you’re on the hunt for a new bag, my favorite place to shop for them is secondhand on The Real Real. I shared my shopping process, review, and tips for The Real Real last week.

shop the quilted leather crossbody

The one thing I don’t recommend:

I ordered my husband two pairs of these men’s chinos for work and within a month of regular wear, they were showing it. Skip the 24/7 smart chinos.

A few more things on my Quince wish list:

Quince has expanded its product ranges A LOT in the last year or two. Here are a few things on my wish list (and you can bet at least one of these will end up on my Christmas list this year).

  • Washable Silk Tee in another color: I love my washable black silk tee but wish I would have sized up. I’m eying the blue and the red.
  • Cashmere belted jacket (a cool $500 but so gorgeous)
  • Cashmere fisherman crew : Everything I love about the cotton fisherman with everything I love about Quince’s cashmere.
  • Leather pouch crossbody clutch: This gives strong designer vibes (I’ve been eying the Mansur Gavriel cloud clutch for a minute and this one looks very similar for a fraction of the price)
  • Merino Wool Turtleneck Sweater: The neck on this is giving strong Vince funnel neck cashmere vibes without the price point and with some great texture. The silver birch color is stunning and so chic.
  • Oversized Striped Linen Shirt: I have heard great things about Quince’s linen line. I love a breezy button-down for some added sun coverage on all our beach + pool days.

Conclusion: Will I order from Quince again?

Absolutely.

Quince Clothing FAQ:

Yes, I find their clothing runs true to size. Many of their pieces are fitted so you might want to consider sizing up for a looser fit. For example, I find the cotton modal tee shirt from Quince runs 1-2 sizes small in comparison to drapey, looser fitting tees from other brands. If you want a fitted tee, order your regular size. If you want a slightly oversized fit, which has become the norm for a lot of tee shirts, go 1-2 sizes up.

Most of the clothing sold by Quince is made from sustainable materials. Quince focuses on timeless and classic styles. They’ll lean into trends that will stick around in your closet. So this season you’ll see a lot more of the slip skirt (a big trend this season but something you can always wear). You won’t find anything with peplum, tweed, or polka dots (more trends that won’t age as well as the slip skirt). I would categorize Quince as a medium-fashion. It isn’t a Shein but it isn’t setting the bar for quality pieces that are going to last you 10 years.

The majority of clothing sold by Quince is made using sustainable materials and produced by manufacturers dedicated to providing a high-quality work environment.

Quince has a generous 365 day return policy. There are a few exceptions and most things must be in unworn or unwashed condition.

Our Quince Reviews: Cashmere, Silk, and More

quince reviews

Is this seemingly high-quality yet affordable brand actually worth it? Read our Quince reviews to find out.

Do you love neutral-toned clothes that seem to go with every outfit? Then Quince might seem like the perfect store for you.

The brand offers a variety of garments made of billowy fabrics with an emphasis use of earth tones, including authentic cashmere and silk garments. Plus, they have plenty of home essentials and other products too.

Quince may seem like the ideal one-stop shop for any wardrobe with amazingly wearable pieces made of the coziest fabrics, all within reasonable prices.

That said, the prices are pretty impressive considering the luxurious fabrics they use, so it’s natural to wonder if the quality measuers up.

We’ve tried 10+ garments from this brand, so we put together our complete Quince reviews to let you know if they’re worth shopping from.

What is Quince?

Our Quince Reviews

We tried a selection of products from Quince featuring a few of their top materials. Here is an overview of our thoughts – scroll down for more reviews of the specific products we tried!

Overall: ★★★★ 4 Stars

Overall, Quince rates in at 4 stars. With a wide selection of garments and accessories at reasonable prices , it’s easy to see why they’re a fan favorite!

They excel in several areas , including general customer service, pricing, and shipping. We love that Quince offers great quality and luxurious fabrics for some of the best prices out there.

Shipping & Returns: ★★★★★ 5 Stars

Shipping is quick and straightforward (not to mention, always free). If you have any issues, their customer service will be happy to help you resolve them. Plus, their 365-day return policy is pretty impressive and shows that they aim to satisfy their customers.

Pricing: ★★★★ 4 Stars

The pricing on most of the products is fantastic. The quality and aesthetic of their garments feel and look high-end, but are available at mid-tier prices.

Quality: ★★★ 4 Stars

The quality of Quince’s garments is great, especially considering their low prices and luxury fabrics. All the pieces we tried are excellent quality and designed to last.

While some Quince reviewers feel the products felt thin or cheap, I personally didn’t have this experience. I tried 6 products featuring some of their top materials (including cashmere , baby alpaca wool , and silk ) and loved every item.

Some of their items do feel more lightweight than some more expensive cashmere or wool brands I’ve tried, I wouldn’t say this is a bad thing. Nothing is see-through (even this white silk shirt ) and their wool and cashmere still keeps me warm without causing me to overheat when I’m inside. I actually prefer this instead of an ultra-heavy wool sweater. Layering is key!

That said, if you have thick thighs, avoid their cashmere pants as they will pill quickly due to thighs being rubbed together constantly.

Customer Service: ★★ ★ ★ 4 Stars

According to Quince reviews, customer service is always happy to help guests resolve any issues they may have.

What Customers Are Saying

Aside from our own experience, here are some key points of feedback based on our experience and other Quince reviews:

  • Sizing can run a bit small for some items (personally, I felt they were true-to-size).
  • Garments are typically well-made.
  • Great quality cashmere sweaters.
  • Excellent customer service.
  • The 1-year return policy is super convenient.
  • Some items can feel thin.
  • Some items tend to pill easily.

Baby Alpaca Wool Cropped Cardigan

Starting with this cute cardigan, I wasn’t disappointed!

It fits me perfectly, is affordable, and pairs well with nearly any outfit.

It feels lightweight, yet it keeps me warm in the dead of winter.

Baby Alpaca Wool Quarter Zip

This is another comfortable wardrobe staple that I’m obsessed with.

It’s very similar to the previous cardigan since it’s made of the same material, it’s just a zip-up style instead. I really want to try their baby alpaca wool turtleneck next!

Washable Silk Tee & Shorts Pajama Set

Being someone who loves silk but hates the care that comes with them (aka dry cleaning), I was excited about their collection of washable silk pajamas .

This set of silk shorts and tee shirt is beyond comfortable and fit me perfectly. I’ve only washed it twice so far, but it came out looking brand new each time – just make sure to follow the washing instructions and use a garment bag!

reviews of quince clothing

Washable Stretch Silk Notch Collar Blouse

This is a perfect silk work shirt that you don’t need to worry about taking to the dry cleaners!

It looks luxurious and is pretty affordable, considering it’s made of pure silk. Get one or two (or 10) of these shirts in neutral colors and you’ve got some easy-to-put-together work outfits for the week! Best of all, it’s not see-through (not even the white color).

Washable Silk Robe

After trying this silk robe, I’m never going back to anything else unless it’s freezing cold.

This robe feels amazing on your skin after a shower, I feel like a millionaire walking around the house.

While you’re eyeballing their silk pajamas, their silk pillowcase is another great pick that’s more affordable than other top options and is machine washable!

Quince Cashmere Reviews

reviews of quince clothing

Mongolian Cashmere Sweatpants Review

This was the most disappointing product I received from Quince. Although they fit perfectly and feel super cozy, they pill badly between the thighs. Although you can get a cashmere comb to remove these, it builds up quickly and would be inconvenient to use the comb 2–3 times a day when wearing them.

I wouldn’t blame this on quality since all cashmere pills easily, I just shouldn’t have chosen cashmere pants when I have thicker thighs that rub together every time I walk. That said, I still love these pants to wear during a cozy at-home day, I just wouldn’t wear them when I’m out walking a lot.

There is various feedback online surrounding this brand. To give you the most unbiased information , we consulted reviews found on Reddit and BBB from customers of Quince! Here are some reviews directly from buyers to give you a better idea of what these customers thought!

“I have 2 items in their cashmere. One is a batwing sweater that I love so much. It’s not available right now but I feel that the [sic] it’s a good weight. Certainly not thin. The other item I have is a short sleeve cashmere tee. I don’t feel this item is thin either. They both have worn well so far and seem to be decent quality. For the money, they are amazing quality. I’m not sure I will ever buy cashmere anywhere since I know what I can get here for the price. I typically like basic styles so for me, these are what I want.” – User BeachWoo on reddit

“I’ve bought several things from them, including their silk blouses. The quality is great for their price – meaning the silk is very thin, to the point where their white blouses are transparent. Think everlane-level quality. The dark blouses are fine though, especially under a blazer. Their cotton cardigans and hoodies are fantastic, very soft and warm.”- User Stonefruitheart on reddit

“I bought a purse from them recently. It flew fast from Italy, landed in the US and then somehow went to Peru for vacation I guess lol. Customer service was fabulous, hassle free and sent out an expedited replacement right away. The purse is super cute and appears to be good quality so far.” – User zsepthenne on reddit

Bottom Line: Is Quince Worth it?

reviews of quince clothing

If you’re building a capsule wardrobe or just want to add some great staple pieces to your closet, Quince is an excellent option with its reasonably priced essentials in neutral colors that can be paired well with any outfit.

To keep their prices low and accessible, some fabrics may not be as thick or durable as more expensive competitors, but they still offer fantastic ready-to-wear garments that are impressive quality for the price point!

While I have tried other products that have felt thicker, I’m not at all disappointed with the quality of Quince. I love the lightweight feel, especially since it still keeps me cozy warm. Plus, their silk feels just as great of quality as I’ve tried elsewhere.

In addition to offering all the basics you could need, they provide efficient customer service and some of the best shipping practices!

We hope our Quince reviews help you decide whether or not to invest in this brand, because in our eyes, it’s a yes.

I loved my purchases but want to return an item. I have tried and tried to contact Quince with no success. They say I have an account but cannot supply code for new password. I have supplied a new customer, but received no credit. I am very frustrated.

I have recently purchased 3 of the button front cashmere cardigans. They are a lighter weight but perfect for layering for colder climates. The quality is nice. I’m 5’5″ and 160lbs.. I ordered a large to have extra room and it was perfect. These were on sale for $50…I hope to pick up a couple more towards the fall season.

Quince Clothing Review 2021

One Quince Clothing Review 2021 formerly known as Last Brand

I love good basics, and I especially love good basics done well. Even better if its at a price that doesn’t break the bank, so I’m always on the lookout for new brands which will give my old favourites a run for their money. And when I stumbled across Quince , I *knew* it wouldn’t be long before I ended up with some of their basics in my closet. To get a good measure of the brand, I purchased a few items across their silk, knitwear and accessories collections. And I’ve got some thoughts. So today’s going to be a full on Quince clothing review .

For size reference, I’m 172cm tall, am a small size AU8/US4, and wear a size 26 in jeans.

SHOPPING EXPERIENCE

First thing I wanted to touch on was the shopping experience. As a customer and also a small business owner , this is your first touch point with a new (to you) brand. The website, the ease of purchase, delivery, the works – all these things will factor into whether you’ll be a repeat customer (assuming you like the product).

Nothing with my orders were awry, and I found the website easy enough to navigate. Though a bugbear of mine was finding many of the items I liked were sold out in all sizes bar one. And from what I’ve read online, this is a common theme. Sizes sell quick so if you see something you like, best to snap it up. They do offer free returns too which is convenient.

With both orders I placed, items shipped out separately. As an international customer, I had to use mail-forwarding to actually get my hands on any Quince items, so this did cause some delays and also add to consolidation fees. No big deal, but something to be mindful of. Shipping is relatively quick, and aside from one late arrival, I received all items within 1 week of purchase.

Overall, no complaints with the shopping experience, though I do wish their website was easier to navigate. With brands that have a more “limited” inventory of items, I like the option to “see all”, rather than browse by category. Now just patiently waiting for them to offer shipping outside of the US so it’s easier to get my hands on.

Quince 50 Mongolian Cashmere Crew Review

Quince $50 Mongolian Cashmere Crew | $50.00

Let’s kick off this Quince clothing review by running through one of their most popular staples; the $50 Mongolian Cashmere Crew . This is a staple basic in many wardrobes, and tends to come with a bit of a luxury price tag. Safe to say I was curious to see how this stacked up to my other cashmere knits.

First impressions? It’s soft, but not quite as soft as cashmere crews I have from Everlane , Uniqlo , Mott & Bow , Naadam or J.Crew . The fit is quite nice. As someone with a longer torso, I really appreciate the longer length through the body. The sleeves are on the longer end of the spectrum. You might be able to see in the photo’s that there’s excess fabric bunched around my wrists. I don’t mind this, but it may be a deciding factor if you’re petite. The thickness is pretty standard and on par with my other cashmere sweaters. I’m wearing the size S and it’s a standard relaxed fit.

Overall, it’s a great buy. While it’s not as soft as my other cashmere knits, I think the $50 (USD) price tag more than makes up for it. The more you wear knitwear, the more it softens up too, so over time I don’t even think this would be a consideration. Still floored by how they’ve managed to price it. One worth snapping up if you’re on the hunt for a staple cashmere crew.

Quince Australian Merino Oversized Cardigan Review

Quince Australian Merino Oversized Cardigan | $59.90

My favourite purchase of the lot was this oversized cardigan . I love anything slouchy and cosy, and this is one of those great transitional or layering pieces to have in your closet. It’s a blend of Australian merino wool and cotton, so it feels thick and hefty, and not too delicate. But warm .

My favourite detail is the cinched in cuff at the wrist. This creates a beautiful bell/balloon shape which makes an otherwise simple staple feel more fun. There’s also two large pockets on either side at the front. Great for slipping your phone/lip balm into, or your hands if you’re a little cold.

I’m wearing this in the size S and will say it’s a very relaxed fit. If you wanted something a little less oversized you could easily size down one. Quality is great and far exceeded my expectations.

Quince Premium Washable Silk Tank Review

Quince Premium Washable Silk Tank | $39.90

Silk tanks make a great workwear basic – assuming they fit your work’s dress code – so this was one of the first items I added to cart. In black, of course . And I think it’s a nice tank. It’s simple, does what it says on the tin, and isn’t eye-waveringly expensive, either.

I’m wearing the size S above and would say it’s true to size for a relaxed fit. It’s not double lined, but being black, doesn’t need to be. This has more of a dull sheen compared to the washable stretch silk (see below), which looks more expensive than its $39.90 price tag. It’s not quite as nice as the ones I used to own from Everlane , but the upside is that this silk has been engineered to be hand-washed, so no dry-cleaning involved.

Quince Premium Washable Stretch Silk Cami Review

Quince Washable Stretch Silk Cami | $39.90

Pre-pregnancy, a silk cami was one of my go-to summer staples. I’ve had less excuse to reach for them of late, unless I feel like playing Russian roulette with grubby little fingers. So makes sense that a washable silk cami would appeal to me. The other notable mention? It’s made from a stretch silk. And thing I thought was quite interesting.

My initial impressions were that it really didn’t hold a candle to my favourite silk camisoles from Grana . Those are double lined and made from a plush washed silk, whereas the Quince version isn’t lined at all and has a slightly shiny appearance. I have to admit, it’s not my favourite. Based on the on-site reviews it looks like the lighter colours may have two layers; great as they’d be needed for modesty!

I went with my usual size S, and it’s a good, relaxed fit. No pulling across the chest, though I tested and there’s a little bit of stretch if needed. The straps are adjustable too, and while the fastening feels a little flimsy, I do appreciate being able to shorten the straps at a pinch if needed.

Quince Washable Stretch Silk Dress Review

Quince Washable Stretch Silk Dress | $74.90

Quince’s washable stretch silk dress is made from the same silk fabric as the cami. But for some reason – and I’m wondering if it’s the colour – it just feels more luxurious. Unlike the cami, the dress is double lined at the bust, and there’s a zip closure down the back. It also has the same adjustable straps. Final design detail are the slits at the side. Love this as it makes such a simple piece feel a little more slinky. Again, it also has a slight sheen to the silk.

Overall I’m really pleased with the silk slip dress as a replacement for an older style I’d long parted ways with. I’m wearing the size S here and it’s a relaxed fit, and doesn’t cling to the body anywhere. While there’s some room at the chest, I like that it’s not too boxy there. Means I can comfortably layer a thin knit underneath for the cooler months.

ACCESSORIES

Quince Italian Leather Crossbody Bag Review

Quince Italian Leather Crossbody Bag | $89.90

The final item I added to cart was Quince’s Italian leather crossbody bag . I tend to wear a lot of crossbody’s now, and tend to favour compact styles which will fit all my essentials. This looked to be about right, and I was blown away by the affordable price tag. Also love a good “stamped” mock croc leather; perfect for adding texture to basic outfits.

I’ve used this bag solidly the past two weeks, and have some serious opinions on it. First, I think that the quality you receive far outweighs the actual price of the bag. The interior is cotton canvas and feels durable, substantial; and the mock croc leather is almost on par with an old Cuyana bag I used to own. The pale gold hardware is probably the only element that brings it down. It feels light and a little cheap, but it’s such a small element that it’s not something I’m bothered by. The zip closure is smooth and easy to open and close. And my gosh is it functional.

The one thing I don’t like? The strap. It’s only semi-adjustable. Two poppers allow you to add or remove a small amount of length. One thing to keep in mind here is that I’m 172cm – reasonably tall – and I find the strap too long. It hangs around the lower part of my bum/hip, when I’d prefer for it to sit slightly higher on my hip bone. Given it’s a black bag, and the strap is smooth leather, it’d be easy enough to switch with a shorter option already in your closet.

But otherwise, it’s excellent value for money, and along with their $50 Cashmere Crew , is another piece I’d recommend taking a second look at. Especially as I’ve also heard good things about the pebbled leather version, too.

And that wraps up my very first Quince clothing review for 2021. I hope you found this helpful, especially if you’re planning on placing your first order. Let me know if you have any other questions in the comments below!

Thank you so much for this thorough review! This is excellent timing, as I’ve been eyeing up the Quince silk midi skirt for ages as a dupe for that gorgeous ivory Bec and Bridge skirt you’ve shown a few times. I’ve held off thus far because it’s too cold to wear something like that where I live, but as the weather warms up in the next month or so, I can buy with confidence 🙂

Oh perfect! Talk about chance – and so glad that this is helpful. Honestly, I’ve been pretty blown away by the quality for the price and overall as a brand, it’s one I see myself shopping from again (even if it’s with mail forwarding) as I find a lot of their styles very enticing. Also love the idea of their linen bedding too…

I love you necklace in these photos. Where is it from?

Thank you – it’s such a good every day piece. It’s from Mejuri! 🙂 I have it linked in my edit here: http://edit.mejuri.com/mademoisellejaime

Hi Jaime, great review thankyou! I was just wondering how the silk compares with the lilysilk shirt you have and have you bought any camis or knits from lilysilk? I’ve been tossing up putting an order in with one 9f these 2 brands Thanks

Sorry for the delayed response. It’s a different texture of silk, so depends on what you’re after. The weight of the Lilysilk is marginally thicker in the black (I have the oversized drop shoulder shirt I believe it’s called), and it’s matte. Feels really lovely though and definitely nicer than the Quince silk tank. I haven’t tried any of Lilysilks camisoles so can’t speak to their quality, but I tend to prefer their matte silks over their shiny ones; I think they look more expensive and are more hard wearing. Hope that helps! x

Thanks so much for this review! Wish I saw it before I made my first Quince purchase. I’m very happy with my cashmere purchases but would have really liked to see more reviews of the silk items. I was not able to find many in-depth honest reviews. Looking for my perfect silk long-sleeve blouse and didn’t find it on Quince in my size. Do you have any $100 or less long-sleeve silk shirt recommendations?

I’m so glad you found this helpful – and at least that it will be useful for purchases moving forward (and will be a post I update next time I buy anything from the brand). If you’re after white silk (or a pale colour), it’s VERY hard to find something that’s opaque under the $100 mark. But for other colours I’d recommend Everlane, Lilysilk, and Grana. If memory serves I believe they all fall under the $100 USD mark and I’ve owned silk pieces from them all so can vouch for the quality (I just opt for the matte silk blouses from Lilysilk as an FYI – to me they’re much nicer looking and also more hardwearing).

Great review! Can I ask where you sweater and skirt are from in the accessories review photo

Of course! Knit is Sezane Gaspard and skirt is old Isabel Marant Etoile x

Thanks for your reviews on the Quince Clothing. Today I received two cashmere sweaters but being tall I am hoping the L size will fit me better than the M. Returning them but very happy with them regardless and will keep buying from them.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience Lena! I’ve placed multiple orders from the brand now and have to say, the quality has really been the thing that has continued to impress me. Wishing you all the best for the year ahead! x

Your review gave me exactly what I was looking for: a real person’s assessment of how this clothing looks and performs. Thank you for including the pictures and describing details like how the relaxed fit looks and feels, sleeve length, etc.

You’re welcome! So glad that you found this useful 🙂 Hoping to do an updated review with some new pieces soon, too!

I Shop for a Living — and These Cashmere and Silk Pieces From Quince Are My New Favorite Wardrobe Staples

And now I’m going back for more.

We independently evaluate all recommended products and services. If you click on links we provide, we may receive compensation. Learn more .

Nearly all of my shopping hopes and dreams fall into three categories while I'm out perusing the racks at my favorite shops or clicking through the pages on a brand's online sale : quality, affordability, and design. Most of the time, what I ended up buying ticks two of those boxes with one left abandoned, but that all changed when I was finally introduced to Quince .

Launched in late 2020, Quince is a brand that specializes in traditionally luxurious and expensive fabrics, like cashmere, silk, imported wool, and linen, but does so in a way that doesn't break the bank. The affordable price tag for high-quality clothes isn't the only thing that sets Quince apart. To put it simply, everything the brand makes is gorgeous. Quince's colors are the kind of deep and saturated hues that blend well with nearly your entire existing wardrobe with mind-blowing ease, and the way its clothes are cut makes them feel and look like they've been professionally tailored after they were bought.

To buy: onequince.com , $100

My favorite piece so far is the Mongolian Cashmere Duster Cardigan. It's warm and cozy, but feels light as a feather. The cardigan fits comfortably over a thin, long-sleeved shirt, and the shawl-inspired collar gives me the flexibility to let it lay folded or sitting upright against my neck if I'm cold (which is most of the time). I love the length for keeping me toasty from shoulders to mid-thigh, but also for the flexibility to toss it over myself like a blanket if I'm chilly on a long car ride or even on my own couch. I bought the oatmeal color, which is a creamy beige, and it comes in three more colors, and sizes ranging from X-small to X-large. So far, I haven't found an outfit this duster doesn't compliment. It goes with everything from torn, light wash boyfriend jeans and a white t-shirt to a tailored black linen dress and, on one occasion, as a robe over my pajamas.

Over 100 shoppers have given the duster an average of 4.9 stars , with many of them singing the same praises. "I can't stop wearing it!" one reviewer wrote, "The quality is great for the price and I will continue to buy from them. This was a purchase for one of my co-workers and she has had it on every day since she got it. Try Quince, you won't regret it," another added.

This likely comes as no surprise, but my love for the pieces I currently own has me circling back to Quince to see what else I want to add to my collection. Take a look at the 10 sweaters, tops, dresses, and more that I'm clicking into my cart right now below.

Quince's Best Affordable Clothing

  • 100% Washable Silk Slip Dress , $80
  • 100% Linen Pants , $40
  • Mongolian Cashmere Sweatpants , $90
  • Washable Stretch Silk V-Neck Cami , $40
  • Baby Alpaca-Wool Cropped Cardigan , $60
  • Mongolian Shrunken Cashmere Sweatshirt , $60
  • Washable Silk Skirt , $60
  • Mongolian Cashmere Tee , $45
  • Cashmere Trouser Sock , $30
  • Mongolian Cashmere Duster Cardigan Sweater , $100

The secret behind the brand charging half or even two-thirds of what its competitors would for such beautiful clothes is a manufacturer-to-customer model that cuts out a myriad of supply chain middlemen, ensuring we get the closest price to what it actually costs to make a garment. Another piece that looks and feels like it should give you sticker shock is the Washable Silk Skirt .

To buy: onequince.com , $60

This skirt is light as air despite being fully lined, and even the champagne color isn't transparent. It has an elastic waistband that never flips over and is sewn into the top in a way that totally conceals it, plus, it fits snugly against the body, but not too tightly that I can't tuck a cotton t-shirt into it. This skirt is so soft it feels almost like liquid against my legs, and might just be the most-complimented article of clothing I own. I've tried similar styles from other brands that didn't make the cut because they gaped at the waist slightly, stuck to my legs with static, or otherwise sat in an unflattering way, and I'm so glad I didn't settle on one before finding Quince.

Part lounging around sweatshirt, part expensive- and professional-looking sweater, this cashmere sweatshirt is everything I want in a warm, cozy layer. Made of 100 percent Grade A Mongolian cashmere and available in 12 colors, this sportswear-inspired sweatshirt comes pre-shrunk for a fitted look that's far from sloppy, in a material that screams luxury. The first time I slipped this sweatshirt on, I wore it all day long around my house and was forced to finally take it off only because it was time to go to bed.

Find your own new favorite beautiful, affordable, and tasteful pieces from Quince today — but better hurry, the cat is finally out of the bag and looks are starting to sell out.

Quince Clothing Review: Is It Legit?

I went looking for more direct-to-consumer sites after trying Few Moda , and I stumbled on Quince (aka One Quince) . There weren’t many Quince reviews available but I wanted to try it anyway. (I had a hard time finding any onequince reviews so decided to write my own. And here we are!)

I ordered some of their clothing and wanted to share my review here for anyone else who is wondering if Quince clothing is legit. Is Quince clothing worth it? Because of their manufacturer-to-consumer model, you get some great items at great prices. Not everything is worth buying, but there are many Quince clothing items that are definitely worth trying!

Let’s start here… Who (or what) is Quince/One Quince?

Quince is a manufacturer-to-consumer website where you can purchase clothing, accessories, and home goods at a fraction of the cost of other brands. (“Direct to consumer” means that it goes from the manufacturer right to the purchaser instead of going to a warehouse in between.) Their site says that Quince is “committed to making exceptionally high-quality essentials at a price within reach” – hence cashmere at a $50 price tag! They compare their products on site to brands like Everlane, J.Crew, Vince, and others.

Quince Clothing Review (2023)

What I bought:

I chose a few sweater items from their Bestsellers list to test out the quality of the pieces. Below I’m sharing details about each one, plus sizing info. For reference, I’m 5’8″ and normally a medium.

I wanted to get this dress , but it’s started to get chilly in New England so I knew I wouldn’t get much wear out of it. But if/when we plan a warm-weather trip, I’m going to order it to try!

Review of the Bestseller Quince Clothing Sweaters

Batwing sweater.

woman wearing batwing sweater from quince clothing

First up was this batwing sweater . I own a couple of other batwing sweaters and reach for them often in the winter months because they’re so cozy! The fabric of this sweater is a dream. It’s so soft. The length is perfect for jeans or leggings. It comes in 7 different colors, and this is one I’m going to hang onto. I ordered the S/M size (it comes in S/M or L/XL).

Cashmere everyday crew neck sweater

woman wearing Cashmere everyday crew neck sweater quince clothing

At $50, this crew neck cashmere sweater is such a steal. I have a similar sweater from Nordstrom (one of their in-house brands) that I think I paid $80 for at a major sale. This one from Quince comes in 14 (!) different colors). It’s super soft, fits true to size, and the length feels perfect for an everyday cashmere crew neck that you’ll most likely pair with jeans or work pants. I ordered the medium.

Baby alpaca wool quarter zip sweater

I didn’t love this sweater , to be honest. It’s soft, for sure, but it felt really thin. I left the tags on because you can see them through the sweater, and I wanted to show you guys that so you could see what I mean about the fabric! I ordered the medium in this.

Baby alpaca wool cropped cardigan

Another miss for me. The fabric of this sweater felt too thin- like it’s more of a fashion statement than a warm piece. Which is totally fine, it just doesn’t work for me. I ordered the medium in this.

Also at Quince: Maternity Clothing

Quince recently launched a line of maternity clothes . They have some really nice basics, like t-shirts and wrap dresses, joggers, leggings, and loungewear.

I have a couple of the maternity t-shirts and they’re soft, comfortable, and long which I love. Another big hit for me is their maternity/postpartum underwear . It’s stretchy, super high waisted, and comfortable. I lived in these undies from Quince for the weeks after I had our third baby .

Other clothing and more sold at Quince

Quince also sells jewelry, home items, baby , and more! I was impressed with the wide selection of items available. And don’t sleep on the mens t-shirts. I bought one for my husband and it’s so good!

FAQs about Quince/One Quince

So is quince legit, how is the quince return policy.

It’s easy! Like I mentioned above, I wanted to return the two thinner sweaters, so I just logged in and submitted a return request. I printed a label they sent me, packed it up and shipped it out! You don’t pay for returns shipping.

Is Quince a sustainable brand?

One thing I was very interested in is whether or not Quince can still be sustainable – and pay workers a living wage – with such low prices. But according to their website, they only partner with “factories who meet or exceed global guidelines for workplace safety and equitable wages.” As for materials, a quick glance at their product offering shows alpaca wool, cashmere, organic cotton, organic linen, and eco-friendly dyes, as well as 100% recycled polyester.

Where are Quince products made?

It totally depends on the product! Some of their cashmere is sourced from Mongolia . Quince has a line of washable silk dresses , which are made in China. Their bamboo sheets are noted that they are made in China as well. The Italian leather bags (next on my list!) are made in Florence, Italy. I love that they partner with factories who pay workers a living wage!

P.S. I did a whole review of my Quince carry on luggage (similar to Away luggage!).

quince vs naadam cashmere sweaters UNI

Like most people, I am a sucker for all things cashmere . This is doubly true when it comes to cashmere that costs less than $100. Which is exactly why I couldn’t resist pitting Quince vs. Naadam cashmere sweaters against one another to see which affordable brand is truly worth investing in. After all, both the Quince Mongolian cashmere sweater ($50) and the Naadam Original cashmere sweater ($98) purport to be every bit as comfortable as knits that cost $150 or more, without sacrificing on sustainability either. But is one far better than the other? Read on for my honest review of both under-$100 options.

quince v naadam cashmere sweaters

How We Tested the Quince and Naadam Cashmere Sweaters

I’ve owned both sweaters since fall 2022 (so about a year and a half) and have worn and washed them on multiple occasions to see how they hold up to frequent use. I also stowed them away for the summer and brought them back out again, testing their longevity from year to year. For this review, I rated the sweaters based on the following factors:

  • Value:  Is the sweater worth the cost considering its quality and capabilities?
  • Fit:  Does the sweater fit true to size? Are the arms and/or torso a good length? Does it fit well over the bust and hips?
  • Quality:  Is the sweater made with high-quality materials? Is it soft and durable?
  • Aesthetics:  Does the sweater have an attractive appearance?
  • Brand Transparency:  How transparent is the brand about where the materials are sourced and how the sweater is made?

What Sets Quince and Naadam Apart?

Both brands are known for producing high-quality clothing at lower price points than their competitors (like J.Crew, Naked Cashmere, Everlane and State Cashmere), thanks to a direct-to-consumer model. Both brands are also transparent about how they’re able to keep their prices so low, with easily accessible information on how and where the fibers are sourced, where the clothing is constructed and what steps they take to offset their carbon footprint.

That said, Naadam’s focus is almost entirely on knitwear—mostly cashmere, but also some wool and cotton—for both women and men, whereas Quince’s product range is much more diverse. It sells not just cashmere sweaters, but also clothing in a wide range of materials for women, men and kids, as well as home goods and luggage.

Quince Mongolian Cashmere Sweater Review

What we like.

  • available in 15-plus color options
  • free returns/exchanges for 365 days
  • holds up shockingly well from year to year
  • fits true to size

What We Don’t Like

  • plus sizes available in fewer colors
  • plus sizes cost $10 more
  • hand wash only
  • Value: 20/20
  • Quality: 17/20
  • Aesthetics: 19/20
  • Brand Transparency: 15/20
  • TOTAL: 90/100

I’ll admit, I had very low expectations when ordering the Quince Mongolian cashmere sweater. I’d tested other budget-friendly cashmere knits in the past, but they were never as soft as the more expensive styles in my wardrobe. So, imagine my surprise when I discovered that Quince’s cashmere is just as dreamy and plush as sweaters three times the cost. Seriously, the material feels incredible and, even better, is ethically and sustainably sourced. Quince has a decent amount of information on its website explaining how it is able to keep costs low , especially for something like cashmere that’s traditionally more of a luxury.

As for the fit, Quince’s sweaters definitely run true to size. This crewneck silhouette is just loose enough, although if you like to layer thicker T-shirts or long-sleeve turtlenecks under your knits, you may want to go up a size. But while Quince does have a more inclusive size range than Naadam, it also charges more for sizes 1X through 3X (up an extra $10 for a total of $60). Plus sizes also come in far fewer color options.

To maintain that delicious softness, Quince recommends hand washing their sweaters in cold water using a gentle detergent, which for me means it gets washed less often. And while it has definitely held up well through multiple winters (and a handful of washes), I can tell it’s wearing down faster than my $150+ cashmere sweaters. It is still very soft, has minimal pilling and hasn’t worn thin in any spots, but it isn’t quite as lovely as the day it arrived. But for a $50 sweater to stay in nearly tip-top shape after two winters is an impressive feat, especially if I consider the cost per wear. (If you think in terms of girl math , my Quince sweater has basically paid for itself, and still has some life left.)

  • Size Range: XS to XL, also 1X to 3X
  • Material: 100 percent cashmere
  • Fit: classic long-sleeve crewneck
  • Care: hand wash using cold water or dry clean with gentle detergent; lay flat to dry

naadam cashmere sweater PW100

Naadam Original Cashmere Sweater Review

  • available in 35-plus color options
  • can personalize with up to 4 letters for $20 more
  • machine washable
  • not available in plus sizes
  • reportedly runs a little small
  • returns incur a $12.75 fee
  • Quality: 19/20
  • Brand Transparency: 17/20
  • TOTAL: 92/100

What was once the Naadam Essential $75 sweater has now become the Original Sweater after the brand increased the price to $98. Unfortunately, there doesn’t seem to be much explanation for the price increase, but I will say that despite the price hike, this sweater is still worth every penny. I’ve owned this sweater for almost two years and wear it regularly throughout fall and winter (and sometimes even spring), and it still looks and feels as nice as the day it arrived on my doorstep. The cashmere, which is ethically sourced from Mongolia, is shockingly luxe. I expected this to be a fairly thin sweater, given the price tag, but it feels really plush and the light hue (I own the camel color) isn’t at all see through.

The fit is also surprisingly flattering—not too baggy, not too tight—and has a good length in both the torso and arms. Naadam suggests ordering the Original Sweater one size larger than your usual for the best fit, and I have to agree. I got a large, when I typically wear a size medium, and while I do think the medium would have fit well, I prefer the looser silhouette of a large. It also makes it easier to layer things underneath.

Back to the Mongolian cashmere, since its launch, Naadam has been very transparent about where and how it sources its materials and offers up information on its website . On each product page, there is a note indicating where the materials originated from. Unlike Quince, Naadam’s cashmere is machine washable—although you should skip the dryer and lay your knit flat to dry. Of course, hand washing is best , but for those in a rush, as long as you use cold water and a gentle detergent, your sweater should come out of the washer looking good as new.

I will admit, I find myself reaching for my Naadam Essential cashmere knit more often than my Quince sweater, as it appears to have maintained that glorious softness a bit better over time and because I know it won’t necessitate a trip to the dry cleaners or an afternoon spent hand washing.

  • Size Range: XXS to XXL
  • Care: machine washable on gentle cycle or dry clean; lay flat to dry

Quince vs. Naadam Cashmere Sweaters: What Are the Main Differences?

Despite their many similarities, these two knits have a few key differences:

  • The price of the Naadam sweater is nearly double that of the Quince sweater
  • The Naadam sweater is machine washable, although neither sweater should be run through the dryer
  • The Quince sweater is available in plus sizes with limited color options
  • Quince has a wider size range (XS to 3X), but also charges more for sizes 1X through 3X ($60)
  • In my testing, the Naadam sweater held up better over time

The Bottom Line

Both the Quince Mongolian cashmere sweater and the Naadam Original cashmere sweater are shockingly high-quality given their under-$100 price tags. And while the Naadam knit did edge out Quince for a higher overall score, if you have only $50 to spend, Quince’s cashmere is still a great investment for your money.

reviews of quince clothing

Quince made a giant splash several years ago with their $50 Cashmere (it’s now $59 Cashmere), but is the Quince Clothing brand any good? We’ve tried a ton of their products and will give you our honest Quince Review.

Quince: One of our favorite new brands

Great, high-quality products at super-affordable prices. They cut out the middle-man to save you big bucks.

Who… or what.. is Quince?

reviews of quince clothing

A lot of people might not know about this brand because Quince doesn’t advertise or use celebrity endorsers like other brands do. While you’ve probably heard of the term “direct to consumer,” Quince takes this model a step further they define their model as “manufacturer to consumer.”

They have developed a unique factory-direct model. This allows Quince to deliver high-quality goods for much lower prices than its competitors. That’s the exact reason that you can get an awesome Cashmere Sweater for $59 vs. $159.

In a recent Fast Company interview, Quince’s Founder, Sid Gupta said, “Each item ships from the factory floor to the customer’s doorstep. This eliminates a tremendous amount of cost, which we pass back to the customer.”

What is Quince known for?

reviews of quince clothing

Quince is mostly known for their now $59 Quince Cashmere – and they’ve expanded their Quince Cashmere Sweaters to pants, Mongolian Cashmere, hoodies, turtlenecks, and even more.

They’ve also expanded to other products like home goods such as bedding and rugs, providing affordable prices much cheaper than leading luxury brands.

What do we love about Quince?

We love so many things about Quince – but the biggest is the price paired with incredible quality. You have to look no further than our Quince Comfort Tech Chino Review. It’s the only cheaper lululemon ABC Pant alternative that we actually approve of.

Quince fundamentally believes that high-quality clothes should not have to be super expensive. We love that model.

What we’ve tried (and loved) from Quince

reviews of quince clothing

We’ve tried a ton of different clothes from Quince and liked all but a couple of products. Keep reading our quick Quince reviews below.

Quince Comfort Tech Chino Review (Men’s)

reviews of quince clothing

We previously attempted to locate some less expensive ABC Pants but ended up with the GAP Fit Khakis, which were not a less expensive version of ABC Pants – they were an uglier version of dad pants. Yikes!

Quince Ultra-Stretch 24/7 Chinos

We've found a great, cheaper alternative to Lululemon ABC Pants. We've searched before and came up short... until now. They are comfortable, lightweight and about half the price as ABC pants.

The only downside? The colors are a little unique.

Not so with Quince Comfort Tech Chinos. They actually offer additional features that you won’t find in ABC Pants – like even more stretch.

The only thing we didn’t care for was the color choices. We just wish there was more. But for $49, you can’t beat ’em. Read the full Quince Chino Review – they are our official Cheaper ABC Pant Alternative in our complete guide to ABC Pant Alternatives .

Quince Cashmere Review (Men + Women)

Quince Cashmere

Yes, you can get high-quality cashmere for less than $60. Shop Quince Cashmere now.

We could waste a bunch of words here to give you a review of the Cashmere Crew or the Cashmere Turtleneck. But the Quince Cashmere is simply awesome.

What is Mongolian cashmere?

Cashmere is a fabric obtained from cashmere goats. The goats take their name from the Himalayan region of Kashmir where they originate and because it’s so soft, light and excellent at keeping you warm when it’s cold out.

However, Cashmere was once a purely luxury product, but a reduction in the cost of cashmere paired with a sharp increase in demand has meant that farmers have struggled to meet both demand and price expectations in a sustainable way.

But that’s where Quince clothes really shines – they provide affordable and sustainable cashmere.

Quince Shrunken Cashmere Sweater Review

reviews of quince clothing

A cashmere sweater for less than $60? No really. And a really good one.

Quince’s $59 cashmere is so soft and luxurious. It is the really fluffy cashmere that isn’t scratchy in the slightest. This cashmere sweatshirt is so chic!

I wanted a cashmere sweatsuit for the holiday break because it is freezing cold here in Colorado and I wanted to sit around while being comfy and warm! I ordered this and the matching pants and the quality is amazing on both! I ordered the black in a size small and I would say it fits true to size.

Mongolian Cashmere Sweatpants Review

reviews of quince clothing

These Quince cashmere sweatpants ($89) match the cashmere sweatshirt above. I also got these in black in a size small. They might run a little large, I probably could have done the XS, but loose sweatpants are so cozy. When I wear this set I am so comfy and warm, but I still feel chic! I put this set on with my Birdie cream slides and I feel like a movie star!

reviews of quince clothing

The cashmere is the same quality as the sweatshirt- so soft and cozy, not itchy at all. AMAZING deal for under $90! This set would make a great gift!

Quince Cashmere: the final verdict

The bottom line is simple: the Quince Cashmere Sweaters are simply amazing. We’ve spent a lot more on sweaters that we were almost too afraid to wear since they were $150. Is anyone else like that? But we tend to wear clothes that aren’t as expensive a bit more simply because we’re afraid we’ll ruin them.

With Quince Cashmere Sweaters, you get the best of all the worlds: they are incredibly soft, comfortable, sustainable, look great, and incredibly affordable. You can’t beat that.

Also, you guys, you can’t go wrong with the high-quality Quince Cashmere.

Washable Stretch Silk Blouse (Women)

reviews of quince clothing

Ummmm again—a silk blouse for under $60? You can’t even buy a silk pillowcase for under $60 at most places. And the Quince Washable Silk Blouse is gorgeous!

The silk is so smooth and the fit is really chic. I ordered the ivory in a size small and it has a long flowy feel to it. It is the perfect top to pair with leather leggings. I have wanted a white button-up top for a long time, but I didn’t want to iron it or dry clean it because that really isn’t sustainable for me long term.

This silk blouse can be washed in your washing machine and it comes out looking perfect- just hang to dry!

Baby Alpaca-Wool Cropped Cardigan (Women)

reviews of quince clothing

I ordered this in a small in light grey- it has a cute cropped look to it. Some of my all time favorite sweaters are the Oversized Alpaca Crew sweaters from Everlane .

reviews of quince clothing

I have it in all four neutral colors! Alpaca’s have been so popular lately and are just so stinking cute, but I had never owned an alpaca item before these sweaters and I love them so much.

Alpaca is less uniform than cashmere, so the look is a little more chunky and a little more lived in. When I saw Quince had Alpaca sweaters I was dying to try one!

The cropped alpaca cardigan is $110 at Everlane and $59.90 at Quince ! The material of the Quince alpaca sweaters is just as good as the Everlance alpaca sweaters, so this is quite the deal!

I love the cute cropped look of this sweater and the little v-neck cut to it. I wore this with a white bodysuit, a pleated plaid skirt, and a pair of knee-high boots for my son’s Christmas program and I got so many compliments!

Quince Washable Silk Skirt (Women)

reviews of quince clothing

I purchased this Quince Washable Silk Skirt in a size small in both black and champagne.

I had seen so many inspiration outfits using midi-length silk skirts and sweaters and living in Colorado, I knew this would be a great outfit combination for me because it is both chic and warm. To say I LOVE these skirts would be a huge understatement!

Quince Review: this amazing washable silk skirt

I have already convinced my girlfriends to buy them for themselves and to gift them. They are gorgeous! The material is so luxurious! They can be made into so many different outfits with sweaters, bodysuits, blazers, t-shirts. The possibilities are really endless with this classic silhouette and fabric. And did I even touch on the fact that they are under $60 ? They are literally worth 3x that amount!

Quince Polos (Men)

reviews of quince clothing

Another great item we’ve tried from Quince is their awesome Polos. We really like their lightweight Flowknit Ultra-Soft Performance Polo . For $29 you really can’t go wrong .

These polos reminded me of something from lululemon. They were incredibly soft and very breathable. We highly recommend these polos from Quince.

What we didn’t love from Quince

This isn’t a love note to Quince, they are a great brand. However, we’ve tried a couple of products that we didn’t like.

Quince Dress Shirts

reviews of quince clothing

We just didn’t love the Quince Button-up Dress Shirts . While they are much cheaper ( this shirt is only $39 ) than alternatives like Mizzen + Main or even Ministry of Supply – they just didn’t have the same level of performance.

Even their dress shirts with “WrinkleGuard” had a lot of wrinkles. You may get a lower price, but I wouldn’t recommend it here. Check out our Mizzen + Main Review for our top picks in dress shirts.

Check out our Mizzen + Main Review for the dress shirts we can’t live without and our best Performance Dress Shirts , too.

ActiveFlex Chino (Men’s)

reviews of quince clothing

I know it’s confusing, but while we loved the Comfort Tech Chino, we didn’t care for the ActiveFlex Chinos .

While they look like similar pants, they are VERY different. The ActiveFlex Chios are almost 100% cotton – actually 98% – so they feel and act like traditional chinos.

If you want something more like ABC Pants, get the Comfort Tech Chinos . If you want a more traditional style (and performance, check out the ActiveFlex Chinos .

Quince Clothing: Sizing

We found the Quince clothes to be pretty consistent with their sizing. However, if you’re at all between sizes, we recommend sizing down. Their clothes are very stretchy and they have a lot of give. Even the Cashmere sweaters are stretchy and pretty forgiving.

Better for long torsos

This is good for Mr. We Tried It – as he has shorter legs and a longer torso. The shirts fit him perfectly. Some other people that purchased Quince clothes said that it was better suited for people with a longer torso.

What we hope to try soon

reviews of quince clothing

We, honestly, haven’t had a chance to try a lot of thier home products (like these Quince Bamboo Sheets ), but we haven’t had a chance to review many of their women or home products. But we hope to be adding them to our home very soon. Check out our Sijo Home Review for some sheets we do love.

They also have some simply beautiful jewelry and accessories (like a crossbody bag and other great bags) on their site that we can’t wait to try.

We had never heard of Quince before our last review, but we’re sure glad that we found them!

Quince Clothing Review: The Final Verdict

reviews of quince clothing

Well, what are you waiting for? It’s time to treat yourself! You can find our favorite picks on the site below:

Don’t forget to check out our other clothes reviews (like Mizzen+Main or Ministry of Supply), if you want clothes that live up to the hype!

Is Quince a legit site?

Yes – absolutely. Quince is not a scam. It takes 3-4 days to get your product, but you will have the best quality out there.

Since the product comes directly from the factory, you won’t get Amazon Prime-type speed, but it’s not bad either.

Is Quince cashmere legit?

Yes. Quince only uses Good Cashmere Standard Approved sustainable cashmere, which has been independently developed to improve the welfare of goats and farmers in both their lives as well as that environmental aspect too!

Quince also takes advantage of its sustainability by using recycled materials whenever possible for sweaters and accessories, thereby reducing the amount of new materials produced, which helps mitigate against environmental change.

Why is Quince so cheap?

It’s pretty simple: factory-to-consumer shipping. Most traditional retail expects many items not to sell that they order from factories.

So, Quince has created a more nimble supply chain. Quince places orders at factories at the beginning of the month.

If some colors or sizes aren’t selling well, he adjusts the order. This means that there is very little unsold product, so Quince doesn’t need to inflate the cost of each item. This system requires a quick turnaround, which is why Quince ships direct from the factory to the customer. Gupta says that products arrive between three and five days after the customer places the order. “It’s an incredibly responsible supply chain, but it doesn’t take as long as it would if each item were made to order,” Gupta says.

Is Quince real silk?

Yes, in fact, it is Mulberry silk, the highest quality silk available.

The highest quality silk available for purchase is mulberry silk. Mulberry silk has something special about how it’s made. Mulberry silk has a long history in China, where local farmers cultivate Mulberry trees and collect the leaves for feeding to their Silkworms. The resulting cocoons are spun into raw silk fibers.

Because the Bombyx mori silkworm consumes only Mulberry leaves, it is able to produce some of the world’s finest silk. Mulberry silk is whiter in color and has longer strands than other types of silk.

Mulberry silk has a wider range of colors and textures, with finer strands. Mulberry silk is less uniform in color and texture than other types of silks, with shorter strands. Mulberry silk products are among the most durable and producing the finest silk items. On top of that – it’s washable silk. Amazing!

This website / business is legitimate

This website / business is legitimate, however, Quince is very hit or miss. I’ve ordered a few separate times and as reviews have pointed out, shipping seems to be sketchy. I suspect because they’re using multiple shipping vendors / locations because packaging has been different every time I’ve ordered. As far as quality, the best purchase I’ve received from there were the bamboo sheets, the worst were the “waffle” towel sets. Felt cheap, thin, overpriced. Their washable silk items feel good quality, but the stitching on both the skirt and dress feels and looks cheap. I also purchased 3 alpaca hair sweaters and all three have started pilling horribly after just a year of wear, compared to the same sweater I have from Everlane (much thicker, better quality). I’ve also never had issues with returns- they’ve always been timely and hassle free. Shipping on the other hand has always been an issue.

Horrible (not) shipping timeframe

Five days after placing an order and "tracking" indicates nothing, no movement. Ugh, I should have listened to so many negative reviews before ordering. They suck you in with such low pricing, but cannot be trusted.

I have made multiple orders from quince…

I have made multiple orders from quince and been happy with each item. The prices are really solid and the quality is good. I've ordered their linen shirts, a summer day dress, and a wool coat and each item has held up overtime. The wool coat I exchanged for a different color with no issues. It seems like most negative reviews have to do with shipping delays, but I don't have a problem waiting a while for the clothes to arrive so that's never bothered me.

Absolutely not reliable

Absolutely not reliable. I ordered an item and the shipping said 6-9 business days. It never arrived and tracking said that it was en-route. I reached out and their customer service said to wait another 7 days, and to reach out if it still hadn't arrived. When it didn't arrive 7 days later, the same customer service person said it was actually out of stock. So, it was never shipped in the first place. They basically made me wait an extra 7 days when they could've just verified whether the item was shipped or not when I first reached out. Terrible customer service. Completely unreliable. Take your business elsewhere. BEWARE.

Five Star Customer Service

My order is a Christmas gift so I can’t speak to the quality of the item. I can comment on their excellent customer service. When delivered, the packaging was ripped open and the item was damaged. I requested a replacement and they immediately shipped a new one. Very pleased with their quick response to the issue.

Awful customer service

Everything is fine when your stuff arrives like normal. The carrier they sent my item with is a mess and keeps saying I am not home when I am home, thus never delivering my item. I even tried to have it held for pick up, nope they still sent it back out and did not deliver it. Quince will do nothing and kept copy/pasting the same generic information and told me to contact the carrier then closed the chat. No help or responsibility taken on their part.

Solid stuff, great prices, worth a little waiting.

Some reviewers I see complain of lengthy shipping times - it's true that many items come direct from India, but I find for the price point it's always worth the wait. I live in Hawaii so longer wait times don't phase me. I've enjoyed all my purchases from linen bedding, jute rugs, cashmere sweaters and a silk robe, linen button down shirts. It has all arrived and been nicer than I expected.

TERRIBLE QUALITY & CUSTOMER SERVICE DO…

TERRIBLE QUALITY & CUSTOMER SERVICE DO NOT BUY! the washable silk is beautiful but not stitched well the 3rd time i wore pajama pants there was a large hole in the seam. They do not refund/return there is a $35 restocking fee. Don't waste your $ this is a total rip off I bought pajama pants & shirt love the feel but the pants are now useless in less than a week for $80.

I love quince but I don’t know what is…

I love quince but I don’t know what is going on with their shipping lately. They notify you an order has shipped but then it doesn’t update for like a week. Really disappointing because shipping used to be quick and reliable.

Overall really positive experience, easy returns

Overall really positive experience. I ordered 4 items in September, I don't recall how long the shipping took. Items were of good quality in my opinion. I sent back 2 items in April this year (unworn and with tags still attached). Didn't have to pay for shipping and received the money back pretty much immediately.

Date of experience : April 10, 2023

I am in no way, shape, or form, affiliated with Quince. I am however surprised by all of the negative reviews. I have only had positive experiences with Quince. The products I have purchased have more than surpassed my expectations. I have purchased 3 pairs of pants, 2 linen shirts, 1 chambray shirt, and a whole slew of sweaters (cotton and cashmere). And get this, I plan on purchasing more. My only complaint is that I do wish they had more inclusive sizing.

Love OneQuince

I have ordered from this company many times with zero issues. Shipping is reasonable, I've always received exactly what I ordered, and I love the quality. I have had to return a few items and returns were hassle-free and promptly refunded. Not sure why there are so many negative reviews, unless people ordered for Christmas at the last minute...

Date of experience : January 04, 2023

I can't rate the merchandise because it…

I can't rate the merchandise because it hasn't arrived. It's been two weeks since my order. Five days after my order they emailed and said it had shipped and I received a tracking number. The shipper is OnTrac and their site has said they haven't received package ever since. I contacted Quince and was told to "rest assured, the package has shipped" and often the shippers "don't update their tracking." When I asked at what point they consider the package lost, they wouldn't answer.

Deceptive business practices

Quince makes a big deal about their 365-day return and exchange policy. But they did not honor this policy in my case. I went through several days of back-and-forth emails with their customer service, which ultimately ended in them refusing to process my exchange. I am now stuck with a $139 sweater I can't use. Since I couldn't get a resolution with them privately, I made some comments on their Facebook ads notifying other potential customers that their policy is not consistently honored. Then suddenly I was blocked from accessing their FB page. This seems really shady and definitely not trustworthy. Stifling customer criticism is not an honest way to run a business. As a side note, I also wrote a one-star review of my experience with the sweater and it was never posted with their other reviews. Makes you wonder how many other low reviews they are getting that never make it to their site.

Date of experience : September 02, 2023

Ordered items for Christmas

Ordered items for Christmas. Company sent the incorrect items. Took me 3 days to get ahold of someone is customer service who told me that they would not ship the correct items until in the incorrect ones were sent back received and processed. So in other words, you sent me the wrong items and now it's MY fault. Very passive aggressive customer services reps who can't seem to understand why getting Christmas gifts a week after Christmas is pointless.

Date of experience : December 15, 2022

I‘ve ordered several clothing items…

I‘ve ordered several clothing items from Quince, the quality is great and prices are fair. I returned some clothes recently and everything went smoothly, not sure why all the negative reviews honestly.

Date of experience : April 24, 2023

Abominable and incompetent service.

I ordered a few items well early for Christmas presents. An American company shipping from overseas? OK, not unusual. But way later, blaming cold weather over Christmas for the delay is absurd when I ordered well before any issues should have delayed the delivery. Absolutely never again will I order from this company. There are absolutely circumstances out of our control, but I ordered early enough that weather should have absolutely *not* been an issue. If they can't exert any oversight over their logistics then they are useless and not to be trusted.

Date of experience : December 16, 2022

Loved their clothes

I have ordered 2 sweaters (cotton) and one cotton blazer. I loved them all. They are good quality and fit well. I ordered two tee shirts that were a little too small. I sent them beack easily. Did not pay for shipping. Got my refund immediately. I will order again.

Date of experience : October 30, 2023

1st order never arrived. 2nd arrived late.

UPDATE: My 2nd order did finally arrive and I'm updating from 1 to 3 stars. This rating is based on my experience only. The items were purchased for a gift and I don't have feedback on product quality yet. - - - - - I've ordered from Quince twice and never received either order. After not receiving the first order, they did issue a refund and a discount code if I wanted to give them another try. I decided to place a 2nd order. It was supposed to arrive a week ago but didn't. No sign of it. Tracking info still says estimated delivery a week ago.

Quince Plus Size Clothing Review

After sharing my review of Quince Clothing on a size 14/16 woman , many of you in the Wardrobe Oxygen Community wanted a Quince plus size clothing review. Quince, a sustainable fashion brand that prides itself on reasonable prices for luxury, recently came out with extended sizing (1X-3X or US 16-24).

I reached out to Quince, to see if they would be game for having one of the members of the Wardrobe Oxygen community receive some pieces from the extended size collection to provide an unbiased Quince plus size clothing review. Many applied, and I finally chose Kathryn, who is 5'6″ and wears a 22/24.

I paid Kathryn a fair rate, and Quince offered Kathryn a few pieces of her choice from their extended-size collection to try, review honestly, and keep. Quince did not review this post before publishing, and my only edits were for structure and layout. Below is Kathryn's honest review of Quince's extended-size collection:

The first time I heard the phrase “elevated basics,” I knew I’d found a way to describe my favorite kind of clothing. I’ve always been drawn to the simplicity and versatility of classic silhouettes and neutral shades – the kind of clothes I can easily mix and match at 6 a.m. without worrying about whether it’s okay to mix an avant-garde sweater with a sweet vintage polka dot skirt.

Even though I love basics, I just can’t do boring. There has to be something – like luxurious fabric, thoughtful tailoring, an interesting detail, a rich color – that makes me excited to pull a piece from my closet in the morning.

Unfortunately, finding elevated basics in plus sizes can be a tall order, and it’s even trickier when you – like me – are shopping with a relatively modest budget. That’s why I was so excited when I heard that Quince was offering some styles in extended sizes up to 3X.

As a size 22/24, people my size are often left out of the hip, sustainable, “affordable luxury” brands that have started sprouting up, and it’s always a bummer to click through a social media ad for a gorgeous piece of clothing that I can actually afford only to find out that it doesn’t come in my size.

When Alison asked for a Wardrobe Oxygen reader to try and review some pieces from Quince’s new extended size range , I nearly jumped out of my seat to volunteer. I had already placed my first order (for Quince’s super-soft Mongolian Cashmere V-Neck Sweater in Navy). I had sent my husband a link to the Italian Leather Quilted Convertible Shoulder Bag (with the email header: “Buy me this for Christmas, please and thank you”), but I was eager to try even more.

Quince Washable Silk Skirt

My first review selection was the 100% Washable Silk Skirt in Champagne . I have two small children, so I don’t usually wear very light colors – sticky fingers are an ever-present concern – but I couldn’t resist the Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy wedding gown vibes. I instantly saw myself striding through the office wearing this skirt with a camel-colored sweater and simple gold hoop earrings, the personification of Quiet Luxury .

model wearing the Quince plus size mongolian v-neck sweater in camel with the champagne colored Quince washable silk skirt.

Naturally, the skirt was the first piece I tried on when my Quince package arrived just a few days after I’d given Alison my selections. It came out of the bag quite wrinkled, but just a few minutes of steaming with a handheld steamer had it looking fresh.

I worried that the fabric might be too thin or too sheer, but it was actually perfect – light enough to feel breezy but substantial enough to drape beautifully. I really liked the bias cut and elastic waistband, too. The skirt skims over my hips and stomach in a way that I think is really flattering, and the thick elastic fold-over waistband makes it comfortable and easy to wear.

Woman in the Quince plus size washable silk skirt in champagne with a black blouse tied at the waist. She is standing in a hallway and smiling at the camera.

Of course, this silk skirt is not completely perfect. (Nothing ever is, right?) I didn’t love the length – I’m 5’6”, and while it hits just below the knee in the website model photo, it falls to mid-calf on me. (The simple waistband makes it easy enough to roll up at the waist, though; if I get tired of doing that, I think it would be worth the cost of hemming it.)

Also, the fact that it’s unlined makes it difficult to tuck a shirt in, because you can clearly see the outline of your shirttail under the fabric. Fine with me, though – I’m happy to pair it with some of my more cropped tops. Finally, the fabric does wrinkle quite easily. I still looked fresh walking into the office after my morning commute, but eight hours at a desk did leave me with some creases towards the skirt's hemline. Honestly, though, I think that’s just the cost of doing business with silk.

Quince Tencel Jersey Midi Wrap Dress

Actually, I take back what I said above about nothing being perfect. The Tencel Jersey Midi Wrap Dress in Dark Olive is perfect.

Quince plus size model wearing the Quince tencel wrap dress in olive. She is holding a taupe handbag in one hand.

I was hesitant about buying this wrap dress because jersey can be such a finicky fabric, but the gamble paid off – the fabric is silky and light but not clingy, and it has a beautiful drape. I love that the waist tie is long enough to fully loop around my waist with plenty of room for a knot or bow at my side.

woman in a teal short sleeve tencel wrap dress from Quince. She is wearing taupe ankle boots and holding a taupe quilted leather handbag, which is also from Quince.

I’m also really pleased with the dark olive color of this dress – it’s one of those “I’m not a regular neutral, I’m a cool neutral” colors that’s versatile but not boring. I love this dress so much that I plan to order another in navy.

I can count on one hand the number of times I’ve had to have an outfit go from “day to night” (shout out to all the women’s magazines that had me keeping clutch bags and statement necklaces in my desk drawer for a decade). Still, if that occasion comes up again, I’ll definitely wear this dress . It’s just as cute with big sparkly earrings and the one pair of high heels that live in the back of my closet as it is with sensible boots and a cute work bag.

Quince Italian Leather Quilted Convertible Shoulder Bag

Speaking of cute work bags, I am a little bit obsessed with the Italian Leather Quilted Convertible Shoulder Bag . (Thanks to my husband’s well-timed Christmas gift!)

This bag just checks so many boxes on my wish list: it’s big enough for my necessities without being “ludicrously capacious”, it has a crossbody strap that’s long enough for my plus-size body.

It’s luxurious without being so expensive that I’m afraid actually to use it. The quilted leather is super soft, and the convertible chain strap has a really nice, satisfying weight that makes the whole bag feel high-end .

the interior of the Quince Italian Leather Quilted Convertible Crossbody

I also love the interior zippered pouch – perfect for my card holder and lipstick – and the large pocket in the back, which has a hidden magnetic clasp to keep my secret lollipop stash from spilling out at an inconvenient time. Overall, it really satisfies my high-end designer bag dreams without being so expensive that I have palpitations every time I take it out of the house.

Quince Organic Cotton Knit Blazer

My next selection was the 100% Organic Cotton Knit Blazer in Camel . This one is so close to being perfect! The knit fabric is thick and comfortable – when I wear a blazer to the office, I usually wind up taking it off at some point because it starts to feel too restrictive, but this was so comfy that I wore it all day with no problem.

A model wearing thje camel Quince Organic Cotton Knit Blazer in Extended Sizes over a white shirt and jeans. One hand is in the blazer pocket.

I adore the bracelet-length sleeves of this blazer , too. (Why, oh why, are blazer sleeves always way too long on me?) The only thing I didn’t love was the fit.

woman with shoulder length brown hair, wearing black pants, a black v-neck top, and a camel sweater blazer from Quince. She has one hand in her pocket and is smiling at the camera.

I usually wear a size 22/24, so I ordered this in 3X , and it felt slightly oversized. At first, I thought maybe I should have sized down, but I looked at the model picture on the website, and it seems a bit slouchy on her, too. It was also a little bit longer than I prefer – I’m 5’6”, and it falls mid-thigh on me. If it were just a little bit more fitted and shorter, I would be completely obsessed with this blazer . As it stands, though, I’ll still reach for it on days that I want to go for a “casual but still pulled together” vibe.

Quince Mongolian Cashmere Oversized Boyfriend Cardigan

My final pick was the Mongolian Cashmere Oversized Boyfriend Cardigan Sweater in Heather Gray . The website reviews seemed to agree that this piece runs large, so I sized down to a 2X and found it to be a perfect slouchy, oversized fit.

a plus size model wearing the Quince Mongolian Cashmere Oversized Boyfriend Cardigan Sweater in gray over a white tank and gray pleated trousers

The cashmere fisherman rib knit is absolutely incredible – thick, stretchy, and as soft as a kitten’s fur. I’ve never been drawn to this style of cardigan before, but after a couple of weeks with this one, I’m pretty sure I can’t live without it.

Woman in black pants and the Quince Mongolian Cashmere Oversized Boyfriend Cardigan in Extended Sizes in gray. She has her hands clasped in front of her and is smirking at the camera, standing in a hallway.

This cardigan works with straight-leg pants at the office, it works with a t-shirt and jeans while running errands, and it works especially well for snuggling up on the couch after the kids are in bed with pajama pants, a gigantic mug of herbal tea and your book of choice. This is hygge-core at its finest, and I am absolutely here for it.

Final Review of Quince Extended Size Collection

Overall, I was really happy with everything I tried from Quince! I’d love to see them expand their extended-size selection to include more pieces from their straight-size collection ( Italian Wool Cocoon Coat , I’m talking to you!) but I know these “elevated basics” will stay in heavy rotation in my closet for a long time.

Thank you so much, Kathryn, for this balanced review of pieces from Quince's extended-size collection. I am so glad you found great pieces for your wardrobe! And if you're reading this and have tried Quince plus size clothing, please share your thoughts and reviews of pieces in the comments. Your feedback may be just what another needs to determine whether to buy or pass on a piece from Quince!

Thanx for the review, and putting yourself out there with pics! Scrolling, the article seemed like it would be dry with only text and catalog photos . . . Alison kept us in suspensem until the fist photo was revealed. My fav it the cotton knit blazer. It looks good open like in the first photo with the purse, closed like in the last photo . . . How would it look belted? I wonder if you could sew buttons or loop closures hidden on the inside. Such a sophisticated tan! Quince came up with a lovely neutral . . . that would balance a patterned sweater or skirt. The length is perfect! It is elongating, slimming.

Great review of your items Kathryn and thank you Alison for inviting her to do this and for giving us more information on the Quince line. I am becoming obsessed with their line of clothing! So many pretty and luxurious items to choose from. Right up my alley…lol!

Thank you so much for taking the time to review this line! I’m similar size to you — 5’5″ and size 24, so this was especially useful. I love how that wrap dress looks on you, so I’m definitely going to check it out for myself ;)!

Love the dress! Absolute favorite. My question, is it a true wrap or faux wrap? If a true wrap does it feel and look like it will stay closed without adjusting all day long?

It’s a true wrap! It stayed put just fine on me. 🙂

What a wonderful and helpful review, Kathryn! Thanks for providing her with your platform, Alison. I have been obsessed with Quince since the outset of the pandemic and am thrilled that they’re also offering the extended sizes that Kathryn completely rocked. Love Quince, love this post.

I have a couple of their sweaters and the v-neck Mongolian cashmere is so soft and warm. It pills very easily with a cross-body purse rubbing on the shoulder and the side. It also pilled a lot under the arms but a sweater shaver took care of it and it’s back to looking great. I have the navy fishterman’s sweater and love the fabric and color. The neck area is slighly too fitted around my neck, but I have issues with anything around my neck, so that’s more on me.

I loved this review and may need to try that silk skirt.

Even though I can’t order from this collection (neither in the USA nor plus sized) I nonetheless read every word here with joy – wish I could order these too, so consider me #influenced!

Are you sure you aren’t a professional blogger yourself, Kathryn? Because you’ve definitely found your ‘voice’ with your humorous yet informative writing style – more, please (if possible)!

Aww, thank you! I used to blog regularly but haven’t really made time for it after having kids. Maybe I’ll pick it up again someday soon!

I appreciate everything about this review! Great job, Kathryn! I’ve been eyeing that wrap dress for a while and reading your review was so helpful!

Kathryn, you should be a regular guest writer for Alison! You are articulate and an excellent writer. This was a very enjoyable read. Well done!

Great review, would love to know how items were post washing a few times

Thank you Kathryn, for the real-woman real-life honest review… love that olive wrap dress! And also thank you Alison, for opportunities like this for other followers and fashionistas to collaborate with you!

This is such an excellent and helpful review – thank you Kathryn (and Alison)! Despite the many ads I’ve been served this is the first time I’ve been tempted to try Quince. I agree with the other commenters that the feedback Kathryn provided is just what I need to know to make an informed choice. That wrap dress really does look like perfection – thanks for mentioning that it comes in navy (olive is just not my jam).

Kathryn, what a great review! Your information is helpful & I love your sense of humor too (“I’m not a regular neutral, I’m a cool neutral”)! The pieces you chose are lovely and definitely seem like ones you’ll actually enjoy wearing. And, they do all seem like pieces that will give you lots of options in your wardrobe. Alison, thank you doing a review this way for us.

What a lovely review, Kathryn! I have had my eye on that skirt for a while and I appreciate the comment about the length based on your height – that is the kind of feedback I appreciate when considering a purchase.

Kudos on a terrific review- both content and writing style! I am now “influenced” to explore the Quince website, and I’m already craving that silk skirt and the cardigan. I’m 5’10” and a decade older than you but your analysis of these pieces made it easy for me to visualize them in my life. Thanks to you for the review and to Alison for creating the opportunity!

Thank you for such a great review! I always love to see clothes on non-model bodies, and everything looks great on you, Kathryn. I’m definitely checking out that cardigan.

Great review! I am a Quince fan. You killed me with the secret lollipop stash—-I spent so much time in my younger years worried that the tampons would spill and now I too worry that my candy will spill out!! I feel you!!

What a fantastic review, Well written and informative.! And you have definitely influenced me to take a look at that blazer. And that sweater. I am a little bit taller than you and so they might be absolutely perfect.

Great review, and the clothes look terrific on you, Kathryn! Thanks for doing this. Consider me #influenced – I think I need that cashmere cardigan.

Thanks for the great review, and the opportunity for a non-blogger “regular lady” to review Quince. I’ve clicked on many bloggers’ reviews of Quince, but have never found anything I wanted shown in extended sizes, and was sure that Quince didn’t even offer anything over size 16 or so. It had gotten to the point, that this week, I deleted three different emails from bloggers who reviewed Quince, certain that it was pointless. What perfect timing Alison, and your heading made all the difference to me. I will certainly be visiting Quince to look specifically for extended size clothing. What an eye opener. Thanks so much!

Great review Kathryn! I can relate to your challenges and desire for elevated basics. You made great choices & I love to se how the fit works for a plus size, 5’6″ body. Fit models are generally on the tall size so it can be hard to determine the actual length of the clothes. You look fantastic & helped me see how Quince clothing would fit me.

Thank you Kathryn for being willing to put your self out there and write and model this review for us. Thank you Allison for offering this for organizing, arranging and offering the space for this review.

A suit is easy to reach for when a ceremony is clearly outlined as formal, but may run the risk of looking extra in more business-casual settings. You need something that'll cover your bases for when the stakes aren't quite as high — and that's where the best chinos for men come in.

Investing in the best work clothes for men will inevitably include a reliable pair of chinos, so we've listed the top pairs, including those we've tested ourselves, to help you find what are sure to be your next favorite pants to live in. A tried-and-true favorite are the ONS Rider Chinos , made with pre-shrunk cotton thick enough to wear throughout the cold weather season. And since our men's style editor Amir Ismael has relied on his same Indochino pair for years, we recommend the $79 Houndslow Chinos as a fairly priced customizable option.

Here are the 11 best chinos for men

Best overall: Bonobos Italian Stretch Chinos - See at Bonobos Our favorite trued and true chinos have a luxe feel that adds instant polish to your wardrobe.

Best affordable: Quince Ultra-Stretch 24/7 Smart Chino - See at Quince The brand's direct-to-consumer model allows for high quality at an unrivaled price of $49.

Best custom fit: Indochino Houndslow Chino - See at Indochino This pair is made to measure, and can be customized with interchangeable pocket, pleat, and button details.

Best stretch: Everlane Performance Chino - See at Everlane Everlane's four way stretch material allows for these chinos to move with you at every angle.

Best lightweight: Madewell Pleated Cotton-Linen Chino - See at Madewell Mid-century modern pleats made of a breathable cotton linen blend keeps you cool in hot weather.

Most comfortable: Woodies Premium Performance Stretch Pants - See at Woodies Dress the part even while working from home in chinos that feel indistinguishable from joggers.

Most stylish: Aimé Leon Dore Straight Fit Chino Pant - See at Aimé Leon Dore The luxury streetwear brand offers premium wardrobe basics, as seen in these straight legged chinos.

Best heavyweight: O.N.S Rider Chino - See at Garmentory The best-selling Riders are a long-time favorite among our team for their heavy-duty material.

Best big and tall: Dockers Ultimate Chinos - See at Amazon The tapered fit maintains extra room in the seat and thighs and will cater best to athletic builds.

Best slim fit: Polo Ralph Lauren Stretch Slim Fit Chino - See at Ralph Lauren This sleek silhouetted pair from the All-American heritage brand smartens up any outfit.

Best cropped: Alex Mill Standard Pleated Pant - See at Alex Mill For when it's all about the details — these cropped chinos have a neat cuff and unique minimalist flair.

Best overall: Bonobos Italian Stretch Chinos

reviews of quince clothing

The Bonobos Italian Stretch Chinos are highly regarded in the realm of the best chinos for men for their super luxe feel. The Italian milled cotton is soft and retains a vibrant hue, even after several rounds through the washing machine. A major perk is the option to choose from a wide range of colors, shapes and sizes. These range from 28 to 46 for waist, and from 28 to 36 for inseam lengths. You can choose between a tailored, slim, slim tapered, or athletic fit. Then, you can take your pick of 16 colors. These are a more polished looking chino with crisp lines, but are worth having for a variety of occasions between business-casual and formal events.

Best affordable: Quince Ultra-Stretch 24/7 Smart Chino

reviews of quince clothing

The Quince direct-to-consumer business model makes their prices competitive, despite the quality of their apparel exceeding our expectations for basic wardrobe essentials. The Ultra-Stretch 24/7 Smart Chino's value will become apparent the more you wear them, with a four-way stretch twill that provides the same flexibility as you'd expect from joggers. Plus, they're wrinkle resistant, so you can pull them out as needed. Chinos that are this deceptively comfortable means you can get the most use out of them anywhere along the spectrum of casual to semi-formal. Read our full Quince review .

Best custom fit: Indochino Houndslow Chinos

reviews of quince clothing

As you may be able to guess from the brand's name, Indochino makes some of the best chinos for men. A fitting expert from one of their many showrooms can tell you your precise size in the Houndslow chinos, but if you can't make it to a storefront, their site has an in-depth tutorial on home measuring . Once you've found your perfect fit, you can further personalize them with custom pleats, hems, pockets, buttons, and belt loops. At $79, the Houndslows are also a great value for the high quality, perfectly sized chinos you're guaranteed by going through their detailed fit screening. Read our full Indochino chinos review .

Best stretch: Everlane Performance Chino

reviews of quince clothing

Each piece of Everlane's Uniform collection went through over 100 rounds of fittings to ensure they'd feel natural on most bodies. Included in the Uniform series are the Performance Chinos, which were examined after 50 washes for signs of fading, shrinking, or pilling before Everlane issued them with a 365 day warranty. These dry quickly, wick moisture, and have a 4-way stretch similar to performance materials found in workout gear. The Everlane Performance Chinos have a classic dressy look about them, yet can move with you in all directions of daily life.

Best lightweight: Madewell Pleated Cotton-Linen Chino

reviews of quince clothing

The best chinos for summer are made with featherlight materials and allow extra space for breathing room. Madewell's Pleated Chinos accomplish this with their cotton linen blend and vintage-inspired wide legs. Madewell is the sister company to J.Crew that caters to a younger demographic with remixed classics, as seen in their chino's double pleating and mid-century modern flair. Their relaxed straight fit and breezy fabric makes them the ideal companion for polished summer outfits.

Most comfortable: Woodies Premium Performance Stretch Pants

reviews of quince clothing

Woodies Clothing took off with their high-tech dress shirts, but their super comfortable chinos have thrived in the men's workwear space, too. They can be personalized with different combinations of custom pleats, pockets, and hems. The Woodies Premium Performance Stretch Pants are amid the best chinos for people unwilling to return to stiff slacks after living in work-from-home attire. What feels almost like joggers are really formal-presenting pants that are easy to style through every season. Their soft, two-way stretch, quick drying fabric is remarkably stain repellent — just the right chinos for the accident prone.

Most stylish: Aimé Leon Dore Straight Fit Chino Pant

reviews of quince clothing

If you're trying to start weaving luxury fashion labels into your day-to-day wardrobe, these Straight Fit Chinos may be the exact jumping-off point. Aimé Leon Dore is one of New York's premiere streetwear brands, and whether worn with high-tops or loafers, the Straight Fit Chinos have a highly versatile, generally standard cut that slightly puddles at the ankle. Their minimalist silhouette comes in four earth-toned colorways that easily blend in with whatever you intend to style them with. The Straight Fit Chino is composed of 100% cotton and features a subtle woven "Aimé Leon Dore" detail on the back pocket.

Best heavyweight: O.N.S Rider Chino

reviews of quince clothing

Since their original tapered Riders became so popular with people shopping for the best chinos for men, O.N.S has expanded the collection with the Rider Movement and Rider Stretch chinos, both of which are equally flattering on their clientele's range of sizes and shapes. With a similar weight as the best lined chinos, the substantial cotton-spandex blend is heavier than common fabrics, such as the denim used in the best jeans for men . The O.N.S Riders are highly durable, have lasted us for years, and especially come in handy when dressing up on cold weather days.

Best big and tall: Dockers Ultimate Chinos

reviews of quince clothing

For many men who shop big and tall sizes, finding comfortable formal wear can pose a serious challenge. But dressing up with an athletic build doesn't have to mean feeling squeezed into a suit all day — Dockers' Ultimate Chinos will assure you that. These come in extended waist sizes with extra room in the seat and thighs so as to not constrict you, even when you're sitting for long periods of time. The four-way Smart 360 Flex™ material allows for more mobility, and the extended inseam lengths positions the knee correctly before tapering off towards the hem. Dockers also has some of the best affordable work clothes for men , so you stock up on chinos and more big and tall styles from a reliable source of wardrobe basics.

Best slim fit: Polo Ralph Lauren Stretch Slim Fit Chino

reviews of quince clothing

As one of the undeniable symbols of Americana, Polo Ralph Lauren makes the best chinos for men that are high quality and ultimately timeless. The heritage brand offers their Stretch Slim Fit Chinos in a trim silhouette that sits low on the waist. Despite being slim from top to bottom, the cotton and elastane blend makes them soft and lightweight instead of too compressed, the way other slim fits can feel. A bonus of the slim fit is how well they factor into a high-low outfit — sleek dressy pants paired with an oversized sweater is a simple way to create a balanced contrast.

Best cropped: Alex Mill Standard Pleated Pant

reviews of quince clothing

Many designs from Alex Mill are uniform and minimalistic, with nuances only shown in the details. Their unisex cropped chinos are standard at first glance, but their prominent pleats, neatly cropped hems and "X" belt loops give them a subtle edge on the average pair of dress pants. These have a relaxed fit that allows for slight stretching, and each pair comes in unique color variations according to their natural dye process.

Michelin-starred San Francisco restaurant Quince is embroiled in ugly legal battle with luxury clothing start-up of same name after being plagued by bad reviews and returned goods intended for the e-commerce firm

  • Quince last week sought a preliminary injunction against retail site Quince.com
  • Famed restaurant argues the e-commerce site is diluting its brand
  • Quince.com slams the suit as 'meritless' and vows to keep using the name

Famed San Francisco restaurant Quince is engaged in an ugly trademark fight with e-commerce startup Quince.com, after accusing the retailer of diluting its brand.

Quince, which has three Michelin stars and has been called one of the world's top restaurants, last week asked a federal judge for a preliminary injunction barring Quince.com from using the name.

Helmed by chef and co-founder Michael Tusk, Quince complains that it has received at least one negative Yelp review intended for Quince.com, demonstrating customer confusion over the name.

The restaurant also says it has received packages, including one filled with sheepskin rugs, intended as return items for Quince.com, and phone calls with customer service complaints intended for the retailer.

Zachary Briers, an attorney for Quince.com, told the San Francisco Chronicle  that the restaurant's lawsuit is 'meritless' and vowed that the e-commerce company would not change its name.

'They sell cashmere sweaters and shearling boots and necklaces and comforters,' Briers said of Quince.com.

'A restaurant with a single location does not have the right to exclude others from using similar names in completely unrelated industries.'

Founded in 2018 and led by CEO Sid Gupta, Quince.com was originally known as 'Last Brand,' until changing its name around 2020.

The company describes itself as 'curated online marketplace that sells high-quality fashion and home goods at radically low prices.'

Like the restaurant, the e-commerce site is based in San Francisco, which Quince claims has contributed to customer confusion.

The restaurant Quince has been in business for 20 years, and is one of 12 restaurants in the US with three Michelin stars, the highest rating offered by the famed guidebook.

The restaurant has a registered trademark on Quince for catering services and dining and culinary entertainment events.

Quince also has a pending trademark application for the use of the name for restaurant services and bar services.

Quince.com has trademarks on the name for online retail services and housewares, which are pending challenge from the restaurant.

According to the lawsuit, Chef Tusk and his wife Lindsay decided to name the eatery after the fruit because 'unlike an apple, a quince fruit cannot be eaten as-is; rather, the process by which it can be eaten is long and arduous, which is similar to the process of opening and maintaining a restaurant.'

In December of 2022, after noticing odd Yelp reviews, the restaurant says it sent Quince.com a cease-and-desist letter demanding it drop the name.

The restaurant filed a federal trademark suit against the retailer in November of 2023.

According to the lawsuit, Quince.com last month launched a line of cookware that was advertised as 'Michelin-worthy', 'professional grade' and 'Made in Italy'.

'Plaintiff is a three-star Michelin restaurant selling Italian and French food and its Chef, Chef Tusk, routinely partners with cookware brands,' the restaurant said in a filing last week.

'These and other instances described further below have resulted in actual confusion, both from Plaintiff's customers and Defendant's customers.'

Quince.com has until February 20 to respond to the restaurant's motion for a preliminary injunction barring its use of the name.

Judge Araceli Martinez-Olguin is set to hear oral arguments on the motion on March 21.

Attorneys for Quince and Quince.com did not immediately respond to requests for comment from DailyMail.com on Tuesday afternoon.
